Left wing extremism vs right wing extremism, what's the difference?

Question

As the question states what is the difference for you between right and left wing extremism for me it boils down to one thing. The left is dangerous for your own country and population while the right is dangerous for other countries and their population. They both are at its base the same exact thing to destroy a culture that they don't agree with.

The difference between an authoritarian far-left government, and an equally authoritarian far-right government is the rhetoric they use to justify themselves; in the end there's very little difference to most people and you're all getting screwed if you're not part of the elite in those scenarios, and it has basically nothing to do directly with foreign vs domestic. It would not actually be possible to have a legitimately far-right conservative authoritarian government in a country like the US because a powerful federal government goes completely against what the vast majority of the American right even supports, and the left wouldn't support it either just on the principle it's not their idea (but would gleefully reframe it for themselves).

In a modern context, the major political divides have shifted pretty dramatically from the original use of "left" and "right" during the time of the French revolution to more accurately be described as globalists vs nationalists, which is a mindset that used to be pretty split between left and right wing ideologies until really within the last decade or two. To this end, you're correct in the distinction of selling out the country for global interests versus protectionist economic policies, but to arbitrarily say that the latter deliberately hurts the rest of the world is a stretch; the point of being self-sufficient or at the very least not tying your economy to that of other nations as much as possible is so that their problems don't become yours'. The real downside to this policy is really just the fact that there's a handful of much more powerful countries in the world relative to the rest, and if any of those countries see their global influence reduced for any reason, it's the others that will fill in the vacuum, which is why a major world power like the US, Russia, China, the UK, India and a few others will never actually cut themselves off from the world no matter how much of a wet dream their respective nationalists claim otherwise.

The correct understanding hinges upon ownership and usage of Resources whether Private or Public... it's always about the money and power: --Fascism (extreme Right): affords a dictator, centralized authority, and/or totalitarian regime overseeing a capitalistic economy strictly regulated, government controls that suppress and eliminate opposition (Unions, Civil Liberties) while solely self-sufficient economically. Separatists --Communism root means universal, classless, economic privilege, and an egalitarian Nation. Attributes: Government run Business with no profits, authoritarian and direct intervention in liberties and monies to assure no violation... no one with more freedom or money than any other, anti-religion. Workers of the World Unite (global expansion) --Socialism (Democratic Socialists of America Party"Bernie"): fundamentals for movement into a Communist government. elimination of private property, Central planning.. shared ownership of Resources... cooperation and compromise over competition and distinctness, social equality, separation of church and state, labor unions and workplace regulations as means of control. Democratic Socialism-code word our "Democracy" is the only form that keeps elements of Republic in it

Only difference is, is what rights and freedoms they're willing to destroy in order to bring about a society that they want, even though the majority is against it.

The left wing nuts want to curtail freedom of speech and expression, and remove our rights to defend ourselves.

The right wing nuts want to curtail the human right to bodily autonomy and self determination, and the freedom of not being under theocratic imposition.

Both sides suck, both sides are against freedom. Fuck them both.

Left wing extremism is corporately backed (CNN, Twitter, etc), while right wing extremism pretty much only exists on the internet. Unless you want to count "January 6th," not that anyone with a brain should be defending the pieces of sh*t in Congress, but I digress.

Left wing extremism is actually a threat because of the money behind it. Right wing extremism is nothing more than a bunch of racist dummies on the internet, so not an actual threat.

At the top, there IS no "left and right," though. That's only for the stupid people who don't have power. All the top, all there is, is the elitist scum, and "everyone else." And as much as I want to hate the World Economic Forum trash, when you look at how stupid the average person is, on either the left (wokeism, feminism, LGBT crap, etc) OR the right (pro-life abortion BS, religion, etc), it makes sense why they're such tyrants and scumbags. I mean, does this species really deserve freedom?

Organization. Left wing extremists can barely gather together in groups larger than 2 without the FBI knowing about it and doing something. Right wing extremists can apparently gather in groups of 10k or so and no one knows it's happening until the US capitol is under siege.

Of course that could be because law enforcement tends to favor the right but more likely it's simply because there are just so many more right wing extremists. Our media environment has normalized distrust, insecurity, desperation, and violent solutions. This ticks all the boxes for right wing extremism. But world peace? Preventing environmental catastrophe? Universal healthcare? Socioeconomic solutions? If these things are ever mentioned it's usually with mockery or scorn.

Right wing extremism has proven itself to be plenty dangerous to your own population, but the biggest difference is that right wing extremism has been proven to change the face of a continent or entire planet. Left wing extremism tends to stay within its own borders. When the right wing goes AWOL, borders shift, entire demographics disappear, cities change their names, technology leaps forward 20 years, and world enters the next age. When the left goes AWOL, it's virtually the exact opposite. Technology devolves, the food supply evaporates, infrastructure crumbles, you STILL lose entire demographics, and the country in question ends up living in the stone age. It's also arguable to say that leftist extremism kills more than right wing extremism. Just look at the difference between how many the Nazis killed vs. how many the Russians killed, or the Chinese. There is no comparison.

I disagree. The right wing isn’t automatically a danger to other countries/populations. I’m a British nationalist. Most of us have always been against the wars in the Middle-East. We’re anti-war in general. Meanwhile the mainstream parties who will tell you that we’re terrible people for being against mass immigration all supported those wars, and were fine with dropping bombs on women and children and destroying their countries.
