It’s almost inevitable that some were, but they wouldn’t have remained on that statistic unless applications for unemployment matched layoffs and firings. Additionally, the unemployment numbers are again adjusted based on the number of active claims. So the crossover would be short lived unless some living person steals the identity of the decedent and continues claiming the unemployment benefits.
The more prudent question, in my opinion is: “How many of the covid-related deaths were ACTUALLY covid related?”
Hospitals that reported covid deaths received money from the federal government. More deaths attributed to covid meant more money. How many died of something entirely different but were reported as covid deaths just because the patient either tested positive for covid or showed symptoms? How much did those inflated reports of covid deaths help the government instill fear and maintain control of the fearful masses?

No, dead people are not counted in unemployment figures. In fact, the only people counted in unemployment figures are those people who are trying to find a job and aren't finding one. The unemployment figure is incorrectly interpreted as the number of people who are "out-of-work", when it only counts those who are looking for work. If someone has been looking for work for 18 months, when their unemployment runs out, they are no longer included in the figure, even though they are still not working.

My father frequently said that liars figure and figure lie.
I don't think we actually had a million deaths due to covid. "The annual increase in deaths in 2020 was the largest in 100 years. Deaths spiked almost 19% (535,191) between 2019 and 2020, from 2,854,838 to 3,390,029."
Prior to 2020, the trend was that annuals deaths in the US was increasing every year (because the total population was increasing.) So, in 2019, we probably had 500,000 or fewer deaths attributable to covid.
Whether those numbers are being included in the unemployed statistics is doubtful. That would increase the rate of unemployment and the BIden Administration has been creative to make itself look better, not worse.
If you work two jobs the Biden regime counts that twice to drive down unemployment figures.
No dead people are not part of the calculation. You have to be unemployed and actively looking for work... 75% of "COVID" deaths were people over the age of 65. You can start receiving social security as early as 62. You didn't lose a million workers.
Strictly speaking wants to no longer useful as tax cattle the government doesn’t care anymore. If anything, they’re a welfare liability. Government doesn’t value individuals, a soulless bureaucratic machine can only count inflow and outflow of cash reserves. That is why I immediately dismissed a politician who makes any mention of caring or feeling good about their tax cattle because they don’t they can’t and thus they never will.
No. Unemployment numbers are based upon the number of people whom the government believes either work or who are actively looking for work. They do not count those who do not look. When jobs add people who were not trying start looking. This is why sometimes the unemployment rate increases at the same time job are added.
Most of the people who died were older people with 3-5 comorbidities. Nothing could have prevented this. No masks, no vaccines, no quarantine. We essentially destroyed the economy and ruined jobs and education to prevent a flu virus that was airborne and unavoidable. 1 million people died, but 360 million people will suffer for generations because of the lockdowns and spending to prevent the spread.
Probably not. Like any plague, it wreaks havoc on the most vulnerable (the retired and sick). If anything it probably did the gov't a service in eliminating them.
Disclaimer* I take no joy in what I say all life is precious. I don't want to anyone die. Just popping facts though.
They only count whatever makes them look good. If that is possible?
If you are unemployed for more than six months, you are not counted as unemployed in the headline unemployment figure.
no , an neither are all the unemployed people whose benefits have run out. They are still alive and they are still unemployed.
I think the lion's share were too old to be in the workforce but I'd be interested in finding out demographic information for sure.
we didn't lose 1 million to covid, we didn't distinguish dying with covid vs from covid
Unemployment numbers are based primarily on claims for unemployment insurance. If dead people are filling claims, someone is committing fraud.
Wait you have to sign up for unemployement. Are you saying covid zombies are standing in line?
they are DEAD... in order to be unemployed, you must be "employable" not dead
Where did you get your one million number?
They should be until they die
I think you have a point on that
No cause they got paid per the dead body.
