Are self defense weapons like brass knuckles, kitty rings, keychains, stun gun actually helpful for women to stay safe while out? (Page 2)

I recently got these things cause some of y'all on my other question said I was being too extreme packing on my road trip so I decided to invest in other self defense weapons to stay safe. But now I'm wondering if these are actually any better? When traveling somewhere new, do you bring a weapon for protection? And yes I understand in some places knuckles and stun guns are illegal. I'm speaking in general are self defense weapons helpful for protecting women?

Pepper spray. I see others recommended it as well. Noise maker, bright light is good as well.

It's safer to use then any other self defense "weapon", because it's non-contact.
And you can get out of danger, rather then go in head first, or fist in.
It's best if you try to avoid the fight, because you may not get out on top, or you do, but you still get hurt, if you decide to fight. And if you must fight this one will give you a big advantage.

Do not get in a physical altercation with a man unless you have a pepper spray or a gun. Brass knuckles will not work at all 😂. You will end up hurting your own hand more than hurting them. Tasers work as well. Best advice is to avoid a situation where that could happen. Don’t go out by yourself. Stay away from dark alleys etc.

They can be, but they can also make things worse especially if it gets taken away from you. Unless you are actually trained and know how to safely and properly use them in a self defense situation they could very well hurt more than help

Not really except in some lucky circumstances, or as a morale booster. But practically speaking, it is not a good defense. You're best bet is to get a gun, and learn to use it.
