This is a really sad story. The dispatcher and the cops both failed to do their duty and protect the victim. It seems like the only things we hear about with respect to cops these days is their failures. That's partly because there are a lot of assholes who have made it their goal in life to point out every cop fail and make a video about it while ignoring all the good the nearly-1-million active cops do in the US every day, all the people they do protect, all the people they do help. You have to wonder about the sanity of those assholes.

I respectfully disagree. Obviously there are good cops and good departments, but I think there were serious problems with their behavior in general and their accountability before the blm/antifa and fake news bullshit.

I didn't suggest there aren't problems and bad behavior with some cops (there clearly are), but despite them being a small minority they get all the press and the vast majority of cops who risk their lives every day and are truly doing a lot of good get very little press at all. I see cops doing a good job every day. I also have cops in my family so I get a perspective of cops that most people don't and most are very good people and dedicated public servants. It's hard on them to see every day the largely undeserved negativity toward cops. It's making it extremely hard for law enforcement agencies to recruit and keep cops, which is bad for everyone.

Do police have issues that need to be addressed? Yes, no question. Doe police in general deserve all the negativity they receive today? Nope. Do they deserve our respect and support for all the good they do? Absolutely.

Did you NOT read the article you posted yourself? Ell oh ell! The cops responded! They were on the scene within THREE minutes! That’s actually an incredible response time! The uniformed officer on the street was a constable. They have considerably less authority and are basically court officials, not crime stoppers. Question is, why didn’t the caller get a pic or video of the alleged rapist so they could be identified and tracked down? Ell oh ell!
