Do politicians surf the web?

Many people think that politicians and people in power are clueless about the real world. What do you think? Do they surf the web? Are they aware of the information out there and the opinions of people that can ( and should) affect what they do?

I think politicians like governors and presidents have people who surf the web, primarily news sites, an give them a daily briefing, but the briefing only reports what the designated person reviewed.

I assume they do, but I doubt they do it to judge how well they are doing to represent those that elected them, but moreso to see how well "they are owning the other side."
