Should pit bulls be allowed?

There are many countries that have banned pit bulls and many people think they are evil or bad as a breed. Others defend them, as someone who has been attacked by a pit bull once as a very young kid I was wondering other people's thoughts.

Yes they should, it's not the breed it's the owner.

I don't like dogs so my bias answer say's no much like it would to any dog. The reason for not liking them is they attack, bite and bark randomly. They don't ever seem to have a rational response.
Yet cats to me are very predictable and easy to understand. And often just mind their own business. And they know to not try hurt humans. Ever seen a cat attack a mailman? ever seen a cat try to full on bite a human and come at them rather than just running away? There will be exemptions but ya get my point.

However bans on a breed like this is pretty daft. Since wolfs and other vicious animals can be trained that would be way worse than a pit bull but yet training clearly shows it works. So it just they need to be trained better.

People get mad at me for having the opinion that they should be outlawed because I’m such a dog lover. The statistics show overwhelmingly that in attacks against humans, strangers and owners, pit bulls are in the 80th percentile. I have three dogs. If they were included in these stats I would not own them. There are hundreds of other breeds to choose from.

Have you ever heard the saying "He turned on me like a pit bull?" That's what they do and without warning. Who needs a dog like that - so evil!

It is a vicious breed. Insurance companies will not cover damages a vicious breed does. There has to be verifiable data for these companies to be able to go this. Aquita, Rotte, Bulls are considered Vicious

They're a menace to society who should be outlawed, taken to animal shelters to be euthanized, and the breed should be eradicated.
