Is patriarchy human nature or social construct?

Nature. Because women can't do all the heard heavy work in the world due to body limitations, being weak after childbirth, needing to be strong before childbirth to survive labor, and making a society extinct if they fought in all the wars and did all the heavy lifting. Anyone who thinks it's a "social construct" is an idiot of the highest magnitude.

To put it other words, there are very VALID AND ORGANIC reasons why the father is the head of the family, not just in human society, but throughout many mammals in the animal kingdom as well. You can reject these gender roles only due to the last 70 years or so in modern advancements in science and technology, but trying to deny the reason for their existence is beyond stupid.

The father has been the breadwinner for most of human existence and there are reasons for that, even if nowadays, modern advancements can give women enough advantages to where she doesn't have to be (in modernized parts of the world, that is; not everywhere).

And let's not even get started on the more idiotic feminist definition of "patriarchy," which asserts being catered and pampered to, as a female, and left out of all of the world's major wars and physical labor, is "oppression to women" somehow.

Women need men to protect them. We are the same as apes. Chimpanzees are similar to humans. Chimps are very patriarchal. When a dominant chimp the female chimps baby daddy, she kills the baby daddy's baby and submits to the dominant male, and becomes his sex slave. There are the bonobos which are subspecies of the chimpanzee. They're born in the pocket of the kango, where there are abundant resources, and the make chimpanzees aren't needed to protect or provide provisions for the female chimpanzees. The males aren't required because they have resources, and they are in a safe area where there is no danger.

The bonobos represent a Matriarchal society like in the west. The men are dumb, and the women rip their dicks off and treat the male bonobos like garbage. Most of them are dumber because they aren't as alert and don't need to be as intelligent as male chimpanzees. So if the chimpanzees attack the bonobos, they would get slaughtered instantly because the males are useless and lazy. They even try to have gay sex by putting their penis into another male penis.

They're protected by Scientists who defend them and don't need to worry about danger.

Matriarchal societies only exist if there is safety and enough resources to survive.

I might stick with I don't know.
But what I believe is, the form of a social construct follows what people currently able to design as something useful in the current state of human nature. Though it's not like you plan the social construct. It builds on people's interaction in day to day basis.
If you talk about ideology first, skipping the categorizing process of social construct and human nature, up to theology discussion, you could even say that it's purely religious doctrine.
Maybe it is more effective in social construct, supporting how human nature works, and religious doctrine at the same time?

I’m not sure whether I’d say it’s human nature, there are and have been more egalitarian and matriarchal cultures also. It’s just that patriarchy produces the strongest cultures, and that’s why all of the major civilisations turn out to be patriarchal.

It's human nature, since male are the strongest gender. We aren't spiders after all. So it could have been different if evolution had taken another road.

It has a natural foundation to it but it doesn't always have to be followed. It's a strategy that clearly a lot of families found works well but not everyone wants to do it that way and that's ok.
