If you’re not living in Europe right now I’m not looking for opinions. The speaker in the video is a PhD, who seems to have some degree of academic integrity apart from having credentials.
I moved out of Europe long ago. But I also found it really hard to watch the video where this "credible" person uses almost as many hand signs and symbols as donald trump herself.
Think about it. These secret society members, even if they have good intentions and share all they have, and not directly shills... they are brainwashed themselves.
And if you're a religious person you should definitely see a spiritual side to his symbolism.
Not saying that any of his words are wrong, just find it difficult to watch and this is especially very relevant to anything political.

Well everything to increase in Europe, but for what concerns France, I think that we are one of the countries of Europe which suffers the month because our government protects us as well as possible, although we undergo in spite of all increases, to compare with the other countries of Europe we are well protected.
Moreover France is not very dependent on Russian gas. On the other hand I can't say how it will be in the next months for the prices, especially for the price of electricity, which apparently we have to prepare to see a very big increase of the prices.
The worst is that France was an example thanks to its nuclear park but because of the political ecologists, our successive governments have closed several of our power plants and we risk to pay it.
Add to that the fact that it could cause huge strikes and protests in France.
There is indeed a rise of the populism in Europe but it exists before the war and in fact it is a phenomenon which concerns the West in a general way

What Girls & Guys Said

8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I mean.. where to even start? That guy is an idiot.
Lets begin with the energy question. Yes, Europe did gamble on accepting cheap Russian gas as they transition into green energy in the future. This was never intended to be a permanent solution but a transitional phase and yes that gave Russia a lot of leverage over the European states. So why did Europe go along with this? Two reasons really, first of all it was very cheap which is just really nice and convenient. Secondly however, is that Europe did not really feel threatened by Russia.
So sure, Russia had leverage for a short time while Europe transitioned from dirty coal to green energy but its not like they could do much with this leverage. Outright invasion was, and still is laughable especially with the performance in Ukraine. The Russian invasion into Ukraine does not really concern the rest of Europe all that much. This is partially also why Russia felt like it could get away with it in the first place. Europe could easily ignore all that and continue their transition like planned.
But they decided not to. They decided to go against Russia even when they had all this leverage. I am not even going to pretend that this is about principles, countries do not work like that. There are countless benefits for Europe and USA to support Ukraine against Russia. But the point remains, Europe did not need to make the gas into an issue, they made that choice knowing the consequences. In hindsight it was a costly gamble but every step along the way was a reasonable decision and the best choice given the situation.
So every step of this was done on Europes terms, not Russias. They would not have gone this far if they were afraid that their own countries would collapse. Even claiming that is ridiculous. Europe has a planned path forward and they are on track to meet their energy needs for this winter. Yes, Russia has cut supplies but Europe has mostly filled their gas storage and preparing to replace Russian gas with other sources like coal and liquid gas imports. Europe will be fine.. with possibly the sole exception being Great Britain who left the EU and has been governed by a clown. They are looking in a terrible situation.
Where does this leave Russia? They cut the supply to Europe but the problem is, they can't sell it to anyone else. They do not have the LNG facilities to turn it into a liquid for easy transport and they do not have pipes to transport it to China and India. They might have to cap their wells and if they do that its going to become incredibly expensive and difficult to reopen them. This has been Russias major problem, they can't replace their exports to Europe with anyone else. No one else has the demand and cash that Europe had.
As for the public uprising against the local government to stop helping Ukraine? Its actually the other way around. The public support for Ukraine is at an all time high and the approval of Russia is down to single digits in some countries. I think Poland is down to 2% approval of Russia. That is fucking insane. You could not get 98% of people to agree that the sky is blue, much less that Russia should go fuck itself.
So yeah.. The price of energy is going to go up, that is inevitable because of the cost of rushing to replace Russian gas but also because the cost of gas used to be extraordinary cheap that a more normal cost of gas would appear expensive by comparison. But there is not going to be a true shortage of energy in Europe this winter unless the winter is extraordinarily cold and long and the people are overwhelmingly supporting of Ukraine.
But I think the funniest part of this video is claiming that Boris Johnson of the previous UK government was supporting Ukraine. He was not. In fact, he tried to delay all the sanctions for as long as he could so the Russian oligarchs could withdraw all their money and assets from the country before they became confiscated. The reason why Boris was taken down was also not because of Ukraine or Russia but because he was a corrupt piece of shit and the worst PM in UK modern history.
So yeah.. This guy in the video is a clown at best or someone intentionally out to lie and manipulate you at worst.

Youtube? The source of every extremist's fantasy.
I just got back from Germany and Denmark.
They seem to be doing well.

I hope to be able to visit some day. Was this before or after the gas was shut off?

When was the gas shut off? And don’t you think the collapse of Europe would take more than a week? Just w thought.

If you watched the video he gives a time frame and context. That is what “begun to fall” means, it differentiates from has fallen by its position on a timeline of the falling process.

Hey he was on vacation and went to some museums. Obviously things can’t be going to shit elsewhere. He didn’t observe it so it doesn’t exist.
- +1 y
@Agagagagaga ikr?
- +1 y
I could keep going, posting news article after news article detailing protests across Europe, and yes, Germany. So I’m glad you had a good time on vacation but, as usual, you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.
- +1 y
@Agagagagaga I’m betting Alternatives For Deutschland is looking better and better to the average German citizen the closer it gets to their dark winter of death and despair if the gas doesn’t get turned back on.
- +1 y
It was the Russian company Gazprom which shut off the gas last Sunday for those unwilling or unable to do their own research.
- +1 y
@Agagagagaga Have you been there recently? Are you going back for Christmas? Do you know a single soul over there? The funny thing is we have a forum participant who lives near Dusseldorf. But somehow he doesn't know anything about his own damn town or country.
And your youtube research is superior to actual facts and information from the people who live there, walk the street there, buy groceries, etc. And meeting with my friends overseas and talking to them every single day since can't match up with you going to extremist sites to find information to corroborate your pre-determined political positions
Yeah, you guys are really open-minded.
Like the Taliban.
- +1 y
@RolandCuthbert Has it escaped your notice that I specifically asked people who are living there because of their superior ability to answer the question with empirical data? It clearly escaped your notice that this doesn’t include you.
- +1 y
Just because you have a raging hate-on for me for some reason does not excuse you from reading what was actually written, though I understand this is not where your abilities typically lie.
- +1 y
Oh yes, it escaped my notice because you never mentioned anything about "friends". You posted your youtube research. And we know that you didn't go out looking for this information right? You just was browsing youtube, looking for self-help videos, videos on dieting, etc. . . and just happened across a video that reinforces your political narratives.
Thank God for youtube!
- +1 y
Dude, in order for me to hate you, you would have to be important. You post trash. . . and I will rebut that trash. Respond if you are able. . . or block me.
But don't whine about it.
- +1 y
Lol seriously? You think I’m like the Taliban because I point out Liberal bullshit and lies?
I thought we were all godless Nazis. Now we’re a bunch of towelhead goat fuckers? Hoo-kay lol.
Just pick one already. And all I did was post links numerous NUMEROUS links to news articles detailing the news of riots and unrest in Europe, and YOU double down. Why? Because you went there on vacation.
Which one of us is really the delusional one here? Me, with my evidence backed up by journalists who actually live in Europe. Or you, with your anecdotal personal experience of seeing nothing. Because you went to a museum.
Everything is fine in Germany! No worries folks! @RolandCuthbert says there is nothing to worry about!
And you call me names. 😂
But you’re a Leftist. Calling people Nazis and religious extremists is all you people got. Certainly not rational arguments or evidence. - +1 y
@Sixgunsound Reading isn’t his strong suit. Otherwise he’d actually be aware of the numerous news articles written about European civil unrest and protests.
Don’t worry though. He’s an expert. He visited Denmark and Germany and has his finger on the pulse of the people 😂 - +1 y
@RolandCuthbert You are correct I didn’t mention friends. I asked for responses from people qualified to answer, which if your reading comprehension skills were higher than they demonstrably are would have told you does not include you. The fact that you felt the need to come after me here as well demonstrates to the community how important I am to you🤣 You are aware that GOOGLE, one of the most left wing companies on earth, audits and regularly bans people from their property YouTube for misinformation, right?
- +1 y
@Agagagagaga OH, you do not point our liberal bullshit and lies. Don't pretend I consider you rational. That's the point. The Taliban scream religious extremism and a bunch of nonsense about women. They are violent, insane extremist whack jobs. And there is nothing logical or understandable about their position. And I surely don't pretend you understand liberalism, conservatism, libertarianism, etc.
Like take this conversation. I visit Germany. I visit Dusseldorf, Munich, and Berlin. I have friends in Duisberg and Leipzig. I have friends all over Germany and I speak with them every single day. There is not one day when I am not talking to at least one family somewhere in Germany.
And I have to go back for Christmas.
The funny thing is, we have members here at GaG who are from Germany.
But against all those source of information that is actually on the ground. . .
you post a youtube video.
And in your world, that is a rational exchange of ideas.
- +1 y
Plenty of people who have something to prove lie about their circumstances. You have your finger on the pulse of Germany daily but didn’t know the gas was shut off? Were you lying then or are you lying now? Videos and photographs are generally more reliable than agenda driven witness statements. How is the nonsense you scream about G@G users you don’t like any different than the way you describe the Taliban? In the short time we’ve been acquainted you have decidedly forfeit your ability to criticize anyone’s ability to have a rational discussion; that is like a billionaire private jet owner lecturing someone on climate and energy responsibility. For some reason you seem to think that your opinion of users here or what you consider to be something makes it fact; it does not. Crack a book on epistemology sometime; you’ll learn something and G@G will also benefit. I suppose I should thank you for the tacit agreement you have by not addressing any of my inconvenient questions previously or here, as you’ve been a great help making my points for me🤣 I have been talking to a user who lives in Germany, and though we agree on almost nothing I give him significantly more credit and respect for his ability to have a civilized discussion. Please, for your sake and for the sake of those people subject to your temper tantrums in real life, get some help. It ultimately doesn’t effect me either way, but I’ve lived around people who struggle with anger management issues before and it sucks. Please do the right thing for the people in your life, if you can’t do it for yourself.

@Agagagagaga Extremists are always the prophets of doom and gloom. ISIS predicted the end of the world and tried to hasten the apocalypse by declaring war on the "West".
But they appear to have been wrong.
I am not here to claim that you are a rational person. Not many rational people pretend to be some prophet by using youtube videos to make predictions about places they have never seen or people they have never met. I am just bringing things back to a logical space to folks.
There is a real world outside of the deep dark web, where there only exists lies, conspiracies, despair, hatred, and misinformation.
Outside of that hell, people live normal happy lives.
:D - +1 y
The desperation you seem to have to settle some perceived score is simultaneously hilarious and pathetic😆 I appreciate the time I’ve spent living in your head rent free so far, and assume that little will change in that regard going forward, demonstrable by a reply here or further attacks later. Thank you so much for continuing to agree with points I’ve made that you can’t address. Hope you have a great day.

Russia reins in natural gas supply
17 Reply- +1 y
@RealMarek; Yup... they obviously want to reduce energy consumption greatly (by a dangerous amount)
- +1 y
They think they’ll make up the gas supply from North American LNG. The Canadians just informed Sholz a week or two ago that he needs to go somewhere else for supply. The US promised supply, but is not delivering what it promised because supply is tight here and an LNG terminal exploded and repairs are being slow-pedaled by the bureaucracy (no coincidence, in my opinion, as the State Dept. would love to see Germany taken down as an industrial power.
- +1 y
@RealMarek: They want to take down the US even more. Don’t worry, Joe Hitler will give them enough to cause supply issues in the US.
- +1 y
@RealMarek: Exactly. And that is the source of inflation, rising interest rates and the other economic problems derived from that- following the WEF agenda on energy, i. e., reducing consumption via deliberately-induced artifically high prices.
- +1 y
Nothing out of the ordinary is going on in Germany. Nothing! The last time I heard a police siren was ~ten days ago, most likely a car accident.
With regard to gas - the gas storage tanks are being filled, slowly but surely. We are currently >86% capacity, with only 9% coming from Russia anymore.07 Reply- +1 y
The numbers I have indicate the German storage filled at 100% capacity means supply for three months of average coldness. While that alone is not enough for the full winter time, the supply from other countries is already increasing. On top of that will come four LNG terminals to process gas supplies from the United States.
- +1 y
I don’t know if you have noticed, but the value of an American promise has gone down a lot lately. One of our major LNG terminals happened to explode and repairs are being slow-pedaled by the bureaucrats. Gas supply is tight and inflation is high here. If winter is bad in North America, you will not see much American LNG at all.
- +1 y
Judging by the support for Ukraine and the strengthening of NATO solidarity, I always considered the value of American promise as high. From what I know, widely-used fracking has made the United States a net exporter. How much of it will be available for Germany remains to be seen, but with all the Russian meddling and heckling, it won’t be a walk in the park for us, no matter the quantity.

AFD gets a lot more seats in the coming year or so I’ll bet😁
- +1 y
That’s highly unlikely given the fact they lost 11 seats in the 2021 federal election and already got kicked out of one or two state parliaments. You have to understand that running with „protest“ as your only program content will only get you so far. Sooner or later people want all political topics addressed and a party able to compromise for joining a coalition/state government. The AfD never managed any of that. Instead they stabbed their own board of leadership in the back, three times in a row. Why would more people vote for a party unable to govern themselves?

When times are good, high minded Socialism is easy. When times are bad, whether truly or merely in popular perception as other users have demonstrated in this thread it becomes somewhat more difficult. There are no perfect political parties, but evidence demonstrates the right seems to be on the rise throughout Europe as the pendulum swings from nanny state socialism towards people willing to make hard and unpopular choices. Are you trying to convince us or yourself that nothing is wrong?
