The plaintiffs lawyer emailing me?

Is this legal for someone lawyer to email me? They sent me all their evidence against me. What should I do? I don’t have a lawyer. I feel embarrassed and scared. They even have evidence and been looking on my Instagram stories.

OK, no one can begin to point you in the right direction without knowing what jurisdiction you are in or what this is about. It sounds like this is some sort of civil matter, have you been served notice of a lawsuit being filed or has this attorney contacted you wanting you to do something like pay money to their client?

Prosecuting attorneys are required to provide Discovery - the evidence they plan to use in court - to the Defense. If you have no lawyer, then they have to send it to you.

You actually have to qualify for a public defender, and that only applies to criminal, not civil, cases. I don't know what kind of suit this is, but PDs aren't always guaranteed.

Having said that, if she has no lawyer, then the other attorney has to send Discovery to her directly.
