"Political language... is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind."

"A lie can travel halfway around the world before the truth has even gotten out of bed."

"Down is up, up is down, good is wicked, wicked is good, pleasure is pain, darkness is light, slavery is freedom, madness is sanity... The times are changing."

Under normal circumstances, that mural would be appalling. In 2022, though? It's a perfect sign of the times. 'Worship your devils and kill your heroes; cause it's Current Year, bigots and incels!'
I laugh my ass off every time I see that picture of him. In reality he is most likely roasting on the end of a pitch fork.

No. The only bit of his story I am actually upset and disturbed by is that an officer sat on his neck and squeezed the life out of him. YOU are disturbed if you believe that is how justice should be dealt with in a legal, and lawful way, because that could be you, your child, your girlfriend, your boyfriend under that knee which is totally unacceptable.
This man did have a legit criminal record and he deserved to be prosecuted as such or at least given a trial. He was no saint. The most credit he should receive is his death shedding a light on despicable "law enforcement."
What I feel is officer Derek Chauvin (ist) had skeletons in his closet looking at prior complaints to internal affairs as well as he knew George Floyd and Floyd most likely knew of the corruption so a minor offense by keeping his knee on him instead of just routinely placing the cuffs and take him to the station reading his Miranda rights. Instead Derek Chauvin kept his knee on him to silence him in fear of being exposed for corruption. It's people like Derek Chauvin that makes every police officer look bad
I support BLM, but know he was not perfect. He did have a criminal record and did fucked up things. HOWEVER, the police are not supposed to instantly react like that. He is more like an unwilling martyr than a saint. He begged for his life and it was taken brutally. This is a case of being seen guilty before being found guilty.
The court found that the officer was justified in using greater force, but instead he pinned him. He used a police approved pin that is in instruction manuals and was taught for officers to use.
Frankly I don’t know why they didn’t just cuff him and shove his ass into a cop car, but police can’t even touch a Black man anymore without Al Sharpton and all the race hucksters coming out of the wood work.
And don’t think I like cops. I don’t. But I have the goddamn sense to STFU when a cop is arresting me. If you resist or talk back they can end your fucking life. It ain’t about right and wrong. They have a goddamn gun. And buddies. And dogs. And helicopters. Just go into the goddamn police car. Wtf. I learned this when I was five years old. STFU when a cop talks to you and obey their commands. Yes, they have a gun and will kill you. 🤷♂️
It may be appropriate for career criminals and thugs, but people with morals and opposed to bad people and crime see this as a joke.
Is he still dead? I heard he's risen and we should all rejoice and celebrate two Easters
Resurrections:
George Floyd - 1
Jesus - 0
Hell no. He was a criminal. The real Saint is Simon Templar.

Simples...
By all available accounts, he was a complete and utter bastard, career criminal, an abuser, without a single redeeming facet.
No he was dirt bag piece of shit. No loss. We are better off without him.
What makes him a dirt bag of shit and you deserving of life?
Why not? I'm sure George is looking up at that mural and approves.
When George Floyd died, the world became a slightly better place.
Only if you think saintliness includes pointing a gun at a pregnant woman’s abdomen during a home invasion robbery.
That's one ugly angel.
But hey! - Why do I think of the little Mermaid just now?
I do not consider him one, but I think others should have the freedom to think what they want about him.
no. Dude was a bum.
He got killed in an awful way and people have every right to be outraged, but he's not a hero.
Priceless! Next I expect BLM to seek Beatification from the Vatican.
Fuck no. His mural got struck by lightning and im not a religious person but that's a hell of a coincidence
He definitely wasn't a saint, but he shouldn't have died the way he did either.
Ain't that what history does best
No they made an idol out of him.
Fuck no its not.
Total bullshit.
