Floyd was a 2-bit criminal on drugs who resisted arrest. What happened to him was the catalyst that sparked the need for change, hopefully for the better in the long haul. But as usual, the extreme reactions from both sides have probably ruined the chances of meaningful reform.

Dr. King was a hero that peacefully demanded change for the acceptance of his people. He did so by by being a role model and an advocate and was killed for it.

No, I don’t think even George Floyd would tell you he was a hero, and I’m sure he’d choose to not be a martyr either, he’d probably just want to be alive instead of dead. King LED a movement. Floyd was an unfortunate casualty whose misfortune inspired, or maybe more accurately, “rekindled” a movement, posthumously. Former Officer Chauvin made all the historic moves, notorious as they may be. Floyd was just the guy unlucky enough to be on the business end of it.
