George Floyd is with no doubt a victim, but why is he a hero?

I agree he is a victim. But hero, no. A Martyr is a better adjective for him for I truly believe upon researching his death and his relationship with Derek Chauvin there was more to that situation than social media and the extreme left media presented. Merriam-Webster defines "HERO" as "a mythological or legendary figure often of divine descent endowed with great strength or ability." More contemporary definition is "a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities." a "MARTYR" is is someone who suffers persecution and death for advocating, renouncing, refusing to renounce, or refusing to advocate a religious belief or cause as demanded by an external party." A more complex fit but think. He suffered excessively for being a black criminal. Although not a religious sect, he represents a persecuted group and his death brought about an awakening and change.
Maybe I think too much, but people need to be more aware of what they say and have a precision in their words if real change in our nation is to happen. The pen IS mightier than the sword. Goodness, I should not answer this stuff at 0545hrs. Maybe y'all will think and I will spark one thought and do some good... or get banned... I really should start an online column.
Someone today on Facebook published George Floyd's VERIFIED Criminal Convictions Wrap Sheet.
Why IS Floyd being elevated to be a 'social justice' martyred Saint?
I DON'T CARE "dat he lubs his Momma" after coming home from burgling houses,
passing counterfeit $20's and jacking other people's cars! "Cause dat be life in dah hood"
REGARDLESS of race or ethnicity, ... living THAT lifestyle comes with inherent risks, PERIOD!
SMELL the 'politics' here? 'Cognitive dissonance'!
Why is he a victim other than of his own stupidity? He was a criminal and instead of complying with police directions fought with them. Why is it okay to fight with police these days? Some dumb fucks who hate authority? The same dumb fucks that treat teachers like shit and give them a hard time? If you don't want to go to school then GTFO and let people who want to learn in. Anyone who hates reasonable authority is no hero, just some punk ass bitch who probably treats women the same way they treat police and teachers. His family got millions and play the fact that they were so hurt he got killed when they probably thought he was a loser too. I bet they are forgetting him real fast with all those millions.
I liked your comment and gave it a "thumbs up." You refer to all those people who physically and verbally resist reasonable authority as "stupid." I've watched lots of Youtube commentaries who support these people and they don't seem "stupid" to me. They say these people are standing up for the rights of others. What do you call stupid people who aren't stupid?
Since George Floyd was murdered by the police, and now is considered a hero, isn't anyone, who was murdered by the police, now also considered a hero?
Isn't anyone who was a victim of police brutality a hero?

He was a criminal and he has been made a martyr but he is not a hero. Dying is not an act of heroism. I challenge anyone to list something that he did that was heroic.
I have one thing he did perceived as heroic by the left; he brought down a y-t.
@blank_expression Not by an act of heroism. There is nothing heroic about being killed.
Only meant as a sarcasm of the left that is all
@blank_expression Got it!
A victim of what exactly? I mean a vicitm of a single mother home and a community that doesn't care about its own? Sure. A victim from the police? Absolutely not. They could have been far more aggressive with him but they complied every step of the way in the hopes of appeasing an angry mob that wasn't keen on finding out facts but rather wanted to destroy everything for no other reason then because it would make them feel better about themselves. He died of a drug overdose exacerbated by his heart condition according to the only person who autoposied him. He isn't a victim except of his own poor decisions.
Being a political pawn for corrupt evil people in politics is nothing new. Hell, you could argue Che Guevara was one of the first major pawns in modern history. I don't think George Floyd deserved to die at all, and still don't, but I also don't think he deserved to be a Marxist martyr, either. I'm not even sure HE would've wanted to be exploited in such a disgusting way that BLM has done to him.
He's a victim, not a hero. He was a flawed human being who chose to do some pretty bad things in his life, but that's not relevant to the proven guilt of those who killed him who had no right to act as his executioner. The law that judged him for his crimes has now judged his killer for theirs.
I'd say he falls in between as a pseudo martyr. A martyr is someone who dies for a cause and in a sense he fits that description and certainly would if he had lived a better life. But I also think it would be wrong to demonize him. He was an imperfect man who tragically died. But he has also become a symbol. Personally I think Breanna Taylor would have made a far better hero for the cause.
He wasn't a hero, he was a repeat convicted violent felon who got exactly what he deserved, even if it shouldn't have happened like that. The only reason the left likes to paint him as a hero is that it helps further their agenda, and validate their actions.
Just FYI, he wasn't saying, "I can't breathe" because of anything the cops were doing. He was pretending to be claustrophobic because he didn't want to go into the cop car.
Did he suffocate to death because he didn't want to go in the cop car? Man, get your head out your ass and smell the roses
He did start saying, "I can't breathe" immediately after saying, "I'm claustrophobic" which he said in response to a cop trying to get him into a cop car. Both of which happened long before he got pinned to thd ground.
That's not a hero you're right that's a martyr. But we are still talking about the life of a human being. An American just like you and me. Had that been you I'd defend your name too. And he was on the ground saying it too. At any case a cop is supposed to be trained to respond to that by calling an EMS. He never knows if it's an allergic reaction or a heart or lung condition, or anything medical. There are procedures to follow that were failed to be executed, and that resulted in the life of an American man, a father, a husband, a brother, prematurely ending.
If he was a decent man, I'd agree with you, but he wasn't. It's public record that he was a repeat convicted violent felon. He even threatened to shoot a pregnant woman in her womb.
I agree that he shouldn't have died like that, and the American Jystice system isn't perfect. But George Floyd died as a cruel, heartless, and most importantly stupid person. If there is anything to learn from his death, it is this; when cops tell you to do something, say "yes ser" or "yes mam" and do it. If George Floyd had just shut up and got in the car, he would still be alive today.
Because to a lot of those who claim he was, victimhood IS heroism. They pursue powerlessness with almost religious devotion, because to them, being without power is being without guilt. And since theirs is a faith with original sin, but no possibility of absolution, the ideal form a person can have is one with absolutely no moral agency. It doesn't matter what you DO; if enough bad things happen to you, you're worthy of praise.
Because he died cruelly at the hands of an enemy.
Had he died for a religious cause - he would have been a martyr. But as it was a social cause he's labelled a hero,
Had Floyd fought back - he would have caused Chauvin damage and maybe even death. But he complied and was still killed. The symbolism being Blacks comply, yet are often still killed by killer cops.
Floyd put it on camera for all to see, and the law did agree to see instead of whitewash.
He shouldn't be. And peoples ire shouldn't be directed towards a small number of incidents with the police. Jaslyn Adams was 7 years old when she was shot and killed in broad daylight, seems to have hardly been mentioned. Public disdain should be for the culture that raises people that murder young children.
One of the first rules in First Aid /CPR is to ask the "victim" a question requiring them to answer (as opposed to nodding a head, etc.).
If the person says "I can't breathe- I can't breathe," that means they are getting enough breath to speak.
I doubt even the people who made his statue knows. It's a damn mockery of Black folks if u ask me. How does he compare to Marcus Garvey and Martin Luther King? Next thing they're gonna put him on the $500 bill as our dollar plunges in value. The world is upside down😩
He's made out to be a hero, but he is not worthy! Some are trying to make him a martyr, for their cause, and it has a weak, shitty base, using him as a representative, a focal one!
Drug abuser, long list of criminal charges, yet, being murdered by a douche bag makes him somehow a hero?
No interest in any movement that uses that as a criterion for leadership and focus.
He's not a victim he died from a drug overdose. He's a hero because of the narrative to dismantle the police system to increase crime to make the middle class sell their property to the investment firms then you reverse this trend of dismantling the police to reverse the crime increase now the investment firms owned everything the middle class used still own
ā He's not a victim he died from a drug overdose.ā
Nope. Next
Yeah look at the autopsy reports he had the metabolism form of fentanyl well over the overdose level. As well as a few other drugs in his system he also had coronavirus he's probably the only person with Corona virus who died who didn't get the death blamed on Corona virus.
Its literally in the title of that same damn report.
Read carefully next time
No it's not they just said he did not die from it because they're looking at fitting on levels as a way to confuse you if you look at the metabolized form he had well over the overdose levels the fact is he died from a drug overdose there's even video of him taking the drugs so he won't go to jail when he was being arrested he grabbed them off the car hood and swallows them all.
This the fact is he was therefore a drug deal the guy with him was his drug dealer that's why he didn't testify. Was caught right after buying drugs so too not go to jail like many of them do he swallowed them all. This led to the drug overdose that killed him but it's been framed as something else for a narrative what I said at the original post as you can see happening with the whole black lives matter movement.
Ok dude here it is and READ CAREFULLY
www.autopsyfiles.org/.../...d,%20george_report.pdf
cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression.
See the part where it says law enforcement? Yeah⦠that!
Look you're proving my point for me these levels are lethal. The lethal dose of fentanyl is 1-2ng/ml
1. Fentanyl 11 ng/mL
2. Norfentanyl 5.6 ng/mL
3. 4-ANPP 0.65 ng/mL
4. Methamphetamine 19 ng/mL
5. 11-Hydroxy Delta-9 THC 1.2 ng/mL;
Delta-9 Carboxy THC 42 ng/mL; Delta-9 THC 2.9 ng/mL
6. Cotinine positive
7. Caffeine positive
Uh huh. Point to the part where that PROVES thats how he died. Ill wait
I did point to it you just point to an opinion written by someone who didn't want black lives matter to break into their home and kill them. Everyone knows the only reason why they said that it's because black lives matter was burning down cities and will continue to do so and kill anyone who goes against them because they're useful idiots being used for the great reset same as you
ā an opinion written by someoneā
A professional medical examiner whos done this for decades.
Wanna tell me how you know more than he did at his JOB that he does for a living? Go ahead try!
Literally look at the autopsy report he feared for his life if he said anything else the levels are lethal I posted the levels are far over the lethal amounts. His autopsy literally shows he died above drug overdose you can read it yourself but you choose to take what the examiner said because he feared for his life and you are a useful idiot for the great reset
ā His autopsy literally shows he died above drug overdoseā
Where? Where does it say that? It just says they were high. Not that thats what he died from. The title on the otherhand is pretty clear how he died. And its written by a Professional whos dine this for decades.
Again the levels were far over lethal levels it only says he died from something else because the reporter making it feared for his life from black lives matter
Here again look at the levels they're multiple times over the overdose levels. If this was anyone's else's autopsy report it will be ruled a drug overdose. But because a black lies matter terrorist threats and political reasons to push the great reset it The reporter just said whatever they wanted to hear.
1. Fentanyl 11 ng/mL
2. Norfentanyl 5.6 ng/mL
3. 4-ANPP 0.65 ng/mL
4. Methamphetamine 19 ng/mL
5. 11-Hydroxy Delta-9 THC 1.2 ng/mL;
Delta-9 Carboxy THC 42 ng/mL; Delta-9 THC 2.9 ng/mL
6. Cotinine positive
7. Caffeine positive

We all know they did we all do these people are very radical terrorists trying to push a socialist revolution even their symbol is the red salute. You saw them burning down cities all throughout this and you literally think they will not kill when they already have
No we dont all know that. Anyway the guy had no stake in the outcome when he explained his background or little knowledge about who george floyd was before he received his body to examine.
Maybe you don't know that because you're useful idiot the fact is everyone fears for their lives from BLM there are Is a domestic terrorist organization. It's very clear you have no clue what's going on you can't even address how his autopsy literally proves it was a drug overdose when you look at the levels of drugs in his system or well over the lethal amounts.
He was never a hero. He was a American citizen killed by a state agent being Judge, jury and executioner. That is the terrifying aspect for every other American citizen to realize.
Hero? The guy went to prison for armed robbery years ago and held a pregnant woman at gunpoint! I would hardly call him a hero.
George Floyd was not a hero.
He was a career violent criminal and junkie.
His death made the world a better place.
It doesn't seem like a better place with all the blm violence
George Floyd gave the democrats the ammunition they needed to piss people off enough to vote out Trump.
As much as I hate this comment, because it's brutal, I think you're right. Biden saw that event and took advantage of the heat of the moment but we know damn well Biden doesn't care about black people or black people's right. Hell, while Bush was in office he tried passing a mandate restricting black students from having an education at the school his kids attended. He also said on camera that the violence in the community "isn't just black people but it's gun background checks" specifically. He's right it's not just the black people, it's white people too being violent. But he stated it like his second concern is black people. What about decapitating the head of supremacist groups, and similar militant organizations that terrorize American citizens? Smh. And that's on both sides, the fbi fights more black gangs than white gangs, and there will never be true social justice until every American citizen is granted the liberties our ancestors killed and died over us having.
@yoyoyoyoyoyoyoyoyo I appreciate you taking the time to write your response. It was clearly well thought out and I want to thank you for that. I didn't know about what happened with Bush, but it doesn't surprise me. All I will say is that as long as people of color have their family structures being disrupted, as long as they have no spiritual base (whether that's religious or otherwise), as long as there is no hope in their communities; they're going to keep falling for every thief wearing a suit.
As long as people can take power through empty promises; they will. I want to see the black family restored. I think that would be a huge step forward in preventing people from exploiting the black community (and others).
That was Biden pushing that mandate while Bush was in office** sorry I don't think it was clear enough. I should've used better punctuation.
Because in Clown World, "I can't breathe" is a super power, lol !
H was just about to finish coming up with a cure for Cancer when he was cut dowo ni his prime. Such a pity.
Because he was slowly chocked to death. In other words, he was tortured.
Heās the crack smoking idol of the Black community. You ain't Black if you donāt smoke crack.
Who is saying he is a hero?
Do you have any sources you can quote and/or provide the URL to?
No, he's a martyr and victim. Nobody is calling him a hero. He was murdered by the people who were supposed to protect him.
His family was supposed to protect him. They failed in that but became millionaires by his actions. I wish everyone could leave a millionaire legacy to their families when they die. He probably never followed his parents orders when he was a kid no more than police orders. Is that the kind of person who is really a "hero"? If so heaven help us.
Heās a victim, but nowhere near being a hero.
He didnāt do any courageous act deserving of that title. He simply spoke up for himself and had something incredibly devastating happen to him.
I donāt know why people keep saying that people are calling him a hero I havenāt heard anyone call him a hero because realistically getting murdered doesnāt make you a hero
Sadly, this false notion of white officer vs unarmed black man just will not die. It is terrible what happened, but why does race have to come into the picture? If he was killed by a black officer, this wouldāve never even made national news.
A victim of the massive doses of drugs he was on when he died from them.
No one of consequence is calling him a hero. This is just another dumb culture war salvo created by fascist propaganda to manufacture outrage from trumptards. Calm your ass down and get your news from a credible source.
Neither, I do wish they sat him up. Then he would've died of the fentynal overdose and no one would've cared.
I have no clue. There's been a whole lot of other people who have died since then I don't know why after year it still being all targeted on him. Time to move on to someone else's death
He's not a hero in any sense of the word and if he's a victim it is of his own making there is no one to blame bu him, and everyone else suffers because of him.
He's a victim of a fentanyl overdose, that's for sure.
George Floyd was not a hero. He was indeed a victim---in the end, of his own foolishness.
Not sure people think that. His face/name is just a symbol.
He died protecting blacks rights to gang bang
Why are his lips so pink?
😂😂😂😂
In all seriousness, the Left wingers are using him to push propaganda that there is some sort of plot to genocide the black man in America.
The Left will do anything to keep minorities on their leash, that's why
He did nothing to be called a hero.
More than you'll ever achieve in your sad life
No idea.
Why do you add a useless comment then? Fake contribution to collect points?
@asker to annoy you specifically. Stay mad! Lol š
Bullies! Not sure what you are trying to prove. But your behavior is pathetic. May god lead you to the way of righteousness.
He is a martyr, not a hero.
I don't see that he is a hero. A victim, yes.
I donāt think I have seen him portrayed as a hero.
I don't think he's a victim or a a hero
