Unfortunately, I don't think officer Chauvin could have got a fair trial right now. That doesn't mean I think he was innocent of all crimes but there was too much anger in society that the ability to have an unbiased trial was removed.

He held a gun to a pregnant woman's head. A woman who also happened to be black. Where is her monument of "heroism" for almost being murdered with a gun by a calloused criminal?
Nowhere. Because dirtbags like Jaylaaa2000 are in love with lies, and care nothing about actual human rights. Only about spewing whatever will destroy what's left of western civilization.
Every lie BLM spewed at every protest, was another act of violence. Every misleading statement to a child, an assault on innocence. To measure their violence only in how many committed arson, is a shallow standard of measurement.
His poor / suffering family? The one that only cared about his life and death when there was a paycheck to be cashed in by crying before a camera?
If anyone should be made a hero and martyr, it should have been LaVoy Finnicum, not George Floyd.
LaVoy was headed to meet with a sheriff who took the constitution seriously, and was seeking to sue for peace to end the violence - instigated by the Feds - that had ensued between the Feds under direction of Usurper Obama the Man of Lawlessness, and protestors in Oregon whose only real crime was sympathizing with the Bundy Ranch rather than the criminal Harry Reid.
For that, he was ambushed, his vehicle tipped upside-down in a snowbank, shot in the back by a coward, and then when he reached for his stomach due to the agony of being pierced through it by the bullet, policy enforcement (it'd be a lie to say they were enforcing laws) decided to shoot him to Swiss cheese! While holding rifles with laser scopes at the heads of the helpless women still trapped in the overturned vehicle!
Where's the petition to rename Memorial Day as LaVoy Day?
Or, there's Miriam Carey. Began to suspect that Obama wasn't the man she voted for. Tried to carry out her own investigation. Found dirt on Harry Reid. Soon became the target of a manhunt, for getting too close to the truth. Faced harassment and intimidation by feds, and turned around. Overturned a barrel when trying to flee for her life and her child's life. A capital city she paid taxes on and partially owned, was chasing her out as an unwelcome peasant! To protect a mob boss.
And from there, she was shot to Swiss cheese on the freeway, even after putting her hands up and begging for mercy! But Soros didn't pay the Marxist neo-Bolshevik steaming piles that are BLM to care. So they treated her assassination with calloused indifference. A testament to the only blackness that's relevant - that of their depraved hearts!
Maxine Waters sure doesn't seem to care to suggest renaming a day set aside for our fallen war heroes to honor Miriam Carey. No. Only the calloused criminal, who killed himself with fentanyl, who had his SHOULDER, NOT NECK, held down by an over-aggressive officer, whose actions are only given an inkling of concern because said officer JUST-SO-HAPPENS to be white... now gets Ms. Endless Ethics Violations making such pure evil petitions!
And so caught up is the nation in "FEELZ," that it treats FACTS as blasphemy! Such a nation doesn't deserve a Memorial Day. Nor a Floyd Day. Nor a Carey Day. Nor a LaVoy day. Nor to exist another day. Pontificate on that!!!
Absolutely. He didn't deserve to die and the cop did some bad things in that situation, so let's get that out of the way.
However, his life was filled with horrible decisions. It's shocking he didn't die earlier based on his poor decision making. He's been a career criminal and people are putting him up there as Superman.
I think the vast majority of people know this but are too afraid to speak. However, I do not believe this was murder. It was really the result of Floyd taking lethal doses of fetanyl, which would make it much more difficult for the body to breathe. Floyd even asked to be put on the ground, but the officer should not have his knee on his neck.
But I think this Floyd situation was blown out of proportion by several reasons:
*It was a pandemic and everyone stayed home and was a bit on edge and bored
*It was an election year
*The mainstream media was getting corona-fatigued and needed a new story for eyeballs.
Also knee on neck was in training procedure but he probably didn't know how to handle that situation. He wouldn't get in the car even after multiple polite attempts to guide him in
@Michael10158 If it was a training procedure then certainly Derek Chauvin shouldn't have been convicted. That trial had controversy written all over it.
@Michael10158 If you watched the trial, those in charge of training for the department testified that was not part of the training given to officers. Even if it had been, you have to de-escalate force when the suspect stops resisting.
Thanks!
I don’t believe he was a hero. His situation was important because MOST of the time the media does not cover these issues of police brutality and they probably wouldn’t cover it if there were no video. Yes he may have been a criminal but NO ONE deserves to die like that simply because of their race and assuming that people think he’s a hero is generalizing on your part. Not one black person i know think he’s a great person or a hero. They’re (including myself) just happy people like you and other racists get to see that this shit is real and happens to black people ALL THE TIME. But it’s clear the message went right over most of this comment sections head. SMH it’s clear some of you guys don’t actually have hard conversations or listen to the experiences of black people close to you bc I know every black person ha hd some type of racist experience. They just didn’t die bc of it.
I think you are missing point of significance of his death.
Its not that he was a hero why people celebrated him; Its because his death was so public in front of many p witnesses and shows how society treats certain groups of people.
When murders like this happen, sometimes they don't even make the headlines especially involving people of colour or they get covered up by the authorities deemed as ' self defense'
But this was witnessed and recorded by members of the public so there was no time for them to do damage control.
Yes he may not have a clean record, but does that mean he deserved to lose his life?
He didn't deserve to die and he doesn't deserve to be a hero or martyr.
Is the penalty for resisting arrest death? No.
Is the penalty for counterfeiting death? No.
Is the penalty for using drugs death? No.
The reason he was a symbol is because he died unlawfully, BECAUSE of how law enforcement in the west treats a Black person over a White person.
If some police are good, where were they when Derek Chauvin laid on his neck? Where were they at the protests? Where were they at the trial?
Being good is standing up against tyranny, and the abuse of human rights. Not watching it happen.

Yes, it's a fucking huge shame that a two bit convicted felon is now being a hero for justice and equality. I could just grind Chauvin's balls into dust for doing this. He has set off a chain of events that will speed up the decay of human society.
They gave his family money, his daughter has a free ride to college, they gave them the American flag ceremony reserved for fallen soldiers or public service like cops or fire fighters, and if this bullshit keeps up he might get a holiday. Which I will not be celebrating or partaking in.
Maybe every drug junkie convicted felon that gets a hair harmed on their head should be martyred as a hero. George Floyd is no hero. The definition of a hero is a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. What is George Floyd admired for? What are some of his courageous acts? What are some of his outstanding achievements? What are a list of his noble qualities? Can anyone please answer any of the questions that don't involve the manner of how he died? I mean real proof. All of his criminal charges are public knowledge, so all of his outstanding achievements should be available. George Floyd is nothing more than a paycheck and a chance to become famous. Why weren't they trying to help him get clean? Is there any evidence of him being signed into a clinic to help with his drug problem? Was he enrolled in college to further his career, well if they had B&E 101: How get in and out with the loot.
There were 457 deaths of white people for the year of 2021 and 257 deaths of black men in 2021 by the police force. Where are the voices for the dead white people? Why is no one standing up for the white people that were killed by police? Would that be police racism or police brutality?
I don't know him or the reasons for his murder.
Bottom line is don't put yourself in a predicament that can end up badly.
America's entire system is just super messed up and all over the place. They need better structure.
I remember years ago there was another incident where a policeman came into a white dude's house and made him crawl on his hands and knees and made him do all kinds of unnecessary things in order to assert his make belief dominance he had over the civilian. The white dude ended up being shot several times point blank because he made one stupid move with his hand whilst crawling.
Nobody even knows who that victim was 🤷♀️
Americans put so much stress on their law enforcement officials and they have no institutions that actually see to it that they get much needed psychiatric checkups and help.
You can't expect your policemen to live in a continuous state of "go-time" and alertness and not see to it that there are at the very least some stuff put in place to ease them and to check on them.
What bothers me is how fucking stupid people are. Some old criminal overdoses under a cop's knee and people flip shit for a year. Meanwhile, 7 year old girl gets gunned down and nobody gives a damn because there's no way to spin the story to blame whitey.
Like... I dunno, it feels like a subset of the population is just intellectually inferior. There is no way to spin this where BLM are the good guys yet people still look up to it like it's gospel.
The second someone says something positive about the whole thing it's an immediate indicator that they're a stupid person and they need to be treated like a child.
Do you know what my biggest problem is? The media generally does not like to tell how he was previously imprisoned for armed robbery, and the the women he held hostage during that robbery was pregnant.
Sure, the media bang on about how he changed (if we take the passing counterfeit notes aside for a second) but there are statues and monuments of people in history being torn down because they were involved in slavery during their early lives. Most of those however became philanthropists and gave back much more to society than they took.
So here is my problem. What is the difference between them and him? If he is a hero to so many, why are they being remembered for only the bad things they did.
You either have ONE rule for everyone or you have no rules at all, and I know which I prefer.
This is why i give the answer to the question do black lives matter? ALL lives matter EQUALLY.
Does it bother you slave owners get statues people who fought to keep people enslaved gets statues like they are heroes?
He was a man that was murdered and tortured over 20 dollars. Showing him love and respect is not making him a hero.
It shows his poor suffering parents/family/ and friends we have love in our hearts for their pain and suffering.
I appreciate your point of view.
I don't know that all the rioting was needed to, "show his family love and support." I don't know that any one person is more deserving of it than another.
93% of blm protests were peaceful, 7,750 total protests 542 resulted in riots 358 started by police attacking or outsiders attacking protesters.
Blm wasn't about riots did people get out of control on rare occasions of course but when what the protests were for is what people don't want to see, they focus on 7 percent that went wrong instead of the 93% that went right
Interesting.
That being said, couldn't the same be said about our police officers? That is to say, the vast majority of officers are good and honorable people placing their own life on the line to serve the public and do a very difficult and thankless job. Maybe the focus should be on that instead.
My problem with the police has more to do what happens after they bad cops do wrong.
Bad cops exist mistakes happen. Do i wish they didn't of course.
But when they do the problem is the police is set up to deny pretend and plant evidence to protect these cops. If they can't they give them a slap on the wrist and send them somewhere else so they can do it again.
The captians and LT and sgt all create a gang like setting of help cover up and protect the dirty cops or we will destroy the cops who don't do it. What stops a bad cop from doing wrong if they know their actions will not be punished?
He was a normal person. Like everyone else. officer Chauvin had a different opinion. Floyd was less then human and did not meet American constitution rights of a American citizen.
This is the point that created terror in my very existence. A single agent of the state was able to be a judge, jury, and executioner without repercussions. So any agent of the state could surcomvent the American constitution thus forward.
Nobody is calling him a hero. Regardless of what his history is or what he was doing, there is and will never be any justification for the way that he died. So I'll be glad when all these ridiculous ass questions stopped getting asked.
I really appreciate your perspective.
Don't you think that having a dialog about this is helpful?
At this point, no I don't. I feel like people ask these questions because they know they'll get specific answers. And quite frankly, I'm sick of seeing it. I have nit heard one person refer to that man as a hero. Because he wasn't one. But he was also a person that didn't deserve to have the full weight of another grown ass man on his neck for 9 minutes. If he committed a crime, then take him to jail.
You are right, but I believe God will handle this, everyone involved in making this situation more than it needs to be will be taught to sit down. I don't think Floyd is a hero, and I am not sure the officer deserved to be treated that way. I have been telling these immature race-baitors off lately because they have been flooding my timeline on FB with hateful, spiteful childish comments about the officer's arrest.
A criminal was killed by a bad cop criminal, not just that... but he was a repeat offender criminal.
I do understand what your saying though, liberals and the liberal media ignore his criminal status to elevate him to some sort of savior hero.
Yet when someone's criminal status fits their agenda, it matters.
that's what i did not understand from the getgo. yes the way he was straight up murdered is not ok. but he is not an innocent angel. i heard rumors of him punching a pregnant woman in the stomach for drug dealer nonsense. and i can see how many very normal people would try to murder him after learning about that...
He wasn't necessarily counterfeiting. Likely he just got it from the guy with him selling him drugs. What he was, was a bit of a loser. A loser who reacted poorly to police which led to him overdosing while being arrested. All the dice just happened to roll together the wrong way to make a unique shitstorm.
But there are worse criminals that BLM exalt to sainthood. Floyd is just the most popular.
Just goes to show how stupid everybody is and would rather believe a lie and ignore the truth.
Everything is out there people have made multiple videos about it. Floyd isn't a saint he has a criminal history and was doped up on drugs.
Well we live in a society filled with idiots so I guess it shouldn't be too surprising.
He wasn’t a saint and he’s not a hero. He was, however, a victim and I don’t see an issue with honoring him on the anniversary of his death as such. I don’t recall anyone claiming he was heroic in any way.
How many victims of malfeasance do you cry for? What about the 20 plus people who died at the hands of rioters across the country, do to riots done on his behalf? Do they matter less? Do their families not morn?
This is a narrative used to justify violence against society and sadly it's working to our detriment.
No one’s life matters more or less than another’s. The violence that occurred during the protests was tragic and unnecessary and I have no issue with honoring those dead either, or any other tragedy that you can come up with. The Floyd case will forever receive more attention because of the nature of his death and the fact that the world watched it unfold up close on video. I’m not responsible for the media scrutiny or the widespread public interest in what happened, so take your snarky attitude somewhere else.
Because no one should be tortured and murdered because they had used a counterfeit $20 dollar bill.
I mean at this point, what is there left to say? Should folks be drawn and quartered for driving while drunk?
Think about what you said and figure out how that makes any sense. Because if Derek Chauvin thought that, then of course he deserves to rot in prison for the rest of his life. And if we have police officers out there who hold the same beliefs, then we are going to be tossing a lot more of them into prison. They might want to think twice about that. Most convicts don't like former officers.
Just sayin'.
With respect, that makes complete nonsense. Because if you can not only be killed. . . but tortured first over what you served time over, then what is the point of having prisons or a justice system.
Why wasn't Dylan Roof hung by his ball and decapitated? Why didn't an officer cut off Patrick Crusius' dick on national television and stomp him to death?
I am just trying to be logical with you guys. I mean, can you use a bit of rational thinking?
I agree with you.
Maybe police need to holler, "Go. Run away" to those whom they are chasing. They always seem to do the opposite of what the police request - - - - maybe they just might stop!.
Having a bad bill doesn't make you a countetfitter.
But on the subject of counterfeit money, you know that a crate full of counterfeit US money was intercepted from China on its way to pay Antifa cells right?
It's a shadow war.
Whether or not he was guilty of a crime has no bearing. We live in a civilization that does not allow for the summary execution of suspects in custody.
He died of an overdose. The knee on the neck was a training practice. His training is why he did that. They were very nice and tolerant of his disobedience to sit in the police car.
@Michael10158 He was deliberately murdered. This was proven beyond doubt at the trial.
It's all about the media, media makes them think that they're doing something really right and amazing.
I'm sorry the media are covering abuses in human rights and not the latest celebrity gossip.
Getting to switch off from having your basic rights ignored is the definition of privilege, which I'd have thought a woman may understand.
As a society, we in the West need to reflect long and hard about how we treat Women, Ethnic minorities, and many other people.
None of us ask to be born. We all should have the same right to "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness".
I dont think anybody thinks he was a stand up citizen its just agreed how he died was shambolic
Local Cowboy cop should have referred this case to the Secret Service they handle all counterfeiting cases and they are very professional about it too they don't go around choking people all this 20 billion dollars of Damages for $20 fake.
He didn't deserve to have a police officer's knee pressed up against him for 9 minutes, and ultimately die from it as well, from a freaking $20 counterfeit bill.
Well all i know is if a white guy gets mad at a cop and the vop shoots him amd kills him it mo sweat off my butt i dont even know him. But the shoe on the other foot one gets a cop mad and he shoots jim you shot them all. I moy saying George did this but there many other who did.
yes, to be a hero you just need much more then to be a victim or simply die.
He is changed in a brand in this moment.
Is not a person anymore, he is becoming a thing.
Sad, usless, disgracing.
George Floyd was not a hero. He was a foolish man who made bad choices and died facing their consequences. The only problem with his death was that it was unnecessary and that he was killed by a rogue cop known to be racist and trigger-happy.
There are a lot of things about that situation that bother me. The crimes for which Floyd was being arrested are only a small part of that.
He was a drug addicted common criminal.
Did any of the lives of black on black murders in 2016: (2,570) matter?
He's not a hero. He's dead. Anyone calling him a hero is a dumbass.
You really must be an idiot. There was no evidence that he was counterfeiting, and no evidence that he even KNEW the fucking bill was counterfeit.
I don't care but all i know is that Americans need to grow up and stop caring about a person's color.
The bible say the evil will be considered Good and Good will be made evil. Before Jesus returns.
When you see the abomination of desolation standing in the holy places...
George Washington owned slaves and is a hero. A martyr doesn’t have to be perfect.
Yes it is. Because that person will reprezent the ideals and the goal for the future generations.
If you accept Waschington as a hero and close your eyes on the slaves he own, then you agree whit this racism situation.
Nope, he’s just a martyr for the movement. He’s not a role model
Yes it is. Because he get in to history.
A nation need models to inspire the future generation.
That the role of the nation leaders, to create a bether country whit bether people.
It's true that George Washington owned slaves, but he also endured a lot of hardship and responsibility as commander of the American army. He could have stepped back, and not gotten involved, but he stepped forward and made a difference. He could have made himself king, but chose to be humble and be president (a job he didn't even WANT).
George Floyd, on the other hand, never did ANYTHING useful or positive in his life, and was a problem from day 1, so definitely no hero.
My whole point which may have been missed is Floyd isn’t even a hero. He is a martyr. Young kids will not be raised to be like Floyd. He is a martyr not hero and as such his faults are masked
Washington was a hero, Floyd isn’t one. It’s not hard to understand
Washington whas just a comander, not a hero.
Heros are an example for humanity.
His slaves prove that some people have more right then the others because are born superior.
@Alexandrubaschet08 why are you bringing slavery into this? Because back then owning slaves wasn't a crime. Stop imposing modern morality on a practice from centuries ago
@Alexandrubaschet08 No it wasn't. you spastic. Slavery was a business pretty much everywhere. Its still going on in africa
@grega239 You are despicable for protecting slavery.
And that olso prove how uneducated you are.
If i told you my country never had slave and you don't know, show how low are your information about this subject.
Slavery whas alwase a crime and it still is.
The diference is that some contry us slavery as revange, whitch doesn't make the situation bether.
Educate yourself and finde thous contry whit no slave sistem in theyr past history and learn and accept slavery and one as the biggest atrocity in the human history.
@Alexandrubaschet08 how am I protecting slavery?
Yea an my country did. My ancestors were slaves BECAUSE IT wasn't A CRIME BACK THEN. It was made a crime in the west 200 years ago. It's still happening in Africa and Asia and the middle east.
You need some education on the subject because you obviously don't understand how brutal history is.
@grega239 My country whas enslaved as well by many Empire. But all the time in all our trime of freedome, independence and other time when we roul over our own nation we never EVER had slaves.
Before Roman Empire we reject any person in our land do be slave or to own slaves.
Afther Roman Empire and create a new country we reject again the idea of slavery and never accept to have such thing.
Afther Ottoman Empire we become independent and olso AGAIN refuse to have slavery, will in west whas a real deal slavery.
I don't give a F about all thous shit countrys like UK, Italy, Spain, Portugal, USA, Saud America, Africa and many other from the rest of the world who use slavery as a sistem and as a legal thing.
It whas alwase wrong, it is and will forever be.
GET EDUCATED.
Not all the country is the world have theyr hand dirty whit such a shame as slavery.
@Alexandrubaschet08 So was mine. And?
Obviously slavery is wrong. But It wasn't back when Washington was alive. That's my entire point.
This was a question about Floyd, no need to keep talking about slavery. He never was a slave so let’s get back to the question.
@Alexandrubaschet08 It's not being excused. But it stupid to keep talking about it because it was made illegal 200 years ago.
The criminal once put a gun to a pregnant woman's belly as his cohorts robbed the house.
Karma is a bitch.
George Floyd was a shit-stain anyway you look at him.
Funny how blm makes martyrs out of criminals
Extremely. He’s a scumbag, not a hero.
The media is responsible for glorifying him.
It Just makes me happy the agent killed him.
