My family members are sheep's... I'm a wolf... our belief systems are different. I'm not here to listen to them or change their minds. Their way of thinking is wrong on certain things and I don't push my views on them. I accepted they'll never change ever regardless of what I say or even if the truth is in their face.

I think there is a strong emotional component to most opinions. You'd have to dig through all that crap to get to better answers and most people don't want to change at these ages. Finding a person with open mind, that's rare.

But it's family, and there is only one... good to make peace if you are able because you will need each other at times.

Its very very hard and in general you can not because they shut down if you try.
I haven't found a solution to it either, the only people we can convince are those who have been fed the same lies but are still sane enough to listen and research on their own. So to me its still worth trying, and I try very hard but in most cases it gets shut down because the people aren't ready to listen.

Keep in mind this is done from very young age, the brainwashing happens in school. You get placed (against your will) in a situation where you have to listen to an authorative figure (The teacher) who cites the facts. You have to remember them and repeat them, then at a later time you have to be able to write down these facts and you get graded on how well you internalized this truth. It won't get more brainwashy than that.

Problem is though, that to dismiss that reality is to dismiss a structure you have been thought from a very young age and doing so also means you have to be able to acknowledge that a lot of what you were forced to do for a big portion in your life did not benefit you. Hard pill to swallow for most since then they no longer know what to believe, and its made harder by the fact the actual reality of it all is a lot less pleasant than the comfortable world they think they live in.

But I even have to correct you in this case because you fell for the propeganda about what liberals are. These days facists call themselves liberals and everyone goes along with it. This group gives no shit about liberty, and the actual genuine liberals like me who do often identify as conservative instead. But don't call these democrats liberals because then your acknowledging their disguise. Feel free to call them authoritarians because that is what they are. We have to take the idea of fighting for liberty back because otherwise they can get away calling us the facistic ones.

I don't cut anyone off, because being the positive example for others can be very powerful. They will have certain views about people like me they may hold very firm, that someone with my beliefs might be incredibly racist or otherwise be interested in harming them or society somehow. But because they know who I am they can't match up the two, and that leaves that opening of getting trough to them that what they believe is false.

If you cut them out of your life entirety rather than being able to life with the differences it just causes you to loose some of your social contacts you otherwise might be able to get along fine with, and you also cut them off from an anchor to reality. So personally I wouldn't recommend it and encourage you to see if you can keep getting along. If they are to radical in their views and it causes constant issues then I understand you distancing yourself.

But I know your also writing about the whole vaccine issue, and in my case while unvaccinated I haven't lost any of my contacts over that choice because they know me well and I can explain my position well to the point of them respecting my freedom to choose.
