They know it’s not and a bunch of BS, they want others miserable too as a parent

Because if u are who I believe u are you have done parenting wrong u had a kid u clearly didn't want and with a guy that didn't care to be involved so now u are miserable parenting tends to be rewarding for people that wanting the kid with some level of a stable house

I’ve always noticed this, even when I was very young.


I compare it to the time I begged my parents to let me order jambalaya at a restaurant despite them assuring me it wouldn’t taste like the kind they made at home.


It was horrible and burned my mouth…but I pretended to enjoy it and ate every last bite so that they wouldn’t be right.

The thing about being a parent is that you can't just half-ass it and expect to have a great bond with your child. You have to invest your time, love, and patience into that relationship and you will get unconditional love from your child in return.

By unconditional I mean your child won't care what you look like, they won't want anything from you but your time and attention. They will be emotionally supportive to you as well when you're sad or struggling.

My son is 10 and very very smart in math in school. (Took after his mother’s side I’m guessing since she’s Chinese). But he has my looks and loves being around me. My only regret is that I don’t know how to play with him so he’s been doing legos and my old transformer toys (busted ones) by himself and iPad. We do play Pokémon go together but his memory is incredible. And most of all I love him very much. 🥹🥲❤️👍

Mostly, because they believe it. Just like when i play a cool video game, I talk about it.

But there is an undercurrent of marketing with kids. If “they” can convince you to have a kid, that’s automatically an extra $300,000 in spending over your life- NOT including college.

So of course corporations sponsor family sitcoms, and the govt gives incentives for kids.

For some folks it's the best thing ever because they are natural fanatics.
For others, they don't want to be socially ostracised by speaking their negative feelings. "Of course I would leave my husband in the burning house and save my children".
Then there's you... I guess your husband is safe.

Just bc it CAN doesn't mean it ALWAYS does.
I know MANY parents who are miserable at parenting.
Many of them would have otherwise been very happy about it had intervening circumstances not occurred or otherwise influenced the experience.
