Statics says when women of higher IQ faces unwanted pregnancies (by an ex or something of the sorts) they seek abortion in most cases.

If they don't, everyone thinks they're stupid

It's not stupid to give the little life in their womb the chance to exist

I think it's chain reaction of seeing kindness as weakness and stupidity, the society seems to be intolerant of single mothers especially if they aren't widowed

It's wise indeed, but going through abortion as sign of love so you wouldn't want your to come in unfavorable circumstances chills my heart over what the concept of love became

I'd rather you add one more orphan to the state then consider killing the fetus

I love children and my religion tells me by the third month there's already soul in fetus, so it's terrifying to take their chance to exist for irresponsibility

Whether the child would curse you or be grateful is their choice to makes, it's hypocritical to think we're doing what's best for everyone

It's 21st century, there's people welcoming adoption everywhere, orphanage, some distant relatives or childless friends, anything can work it out

I'm not making choice for women, but please stop considering abortion a smart choice and do proper protective measures in the first place, stop accomodations of men's dislike of condoms and have some brain cells to think short-term enjoyment isn't work the possible following trouble

I had good time reading the opinions, and honestly what I'd liked from beginning to end is why are they not being honest. I just hope some people stops glorifying their reasons for abortion. My religion aside, I do support women who got pregnant from rape, AIDS patient, or with that pregnancy would give health problems possiblity and danger on life

Sorry for the later than usual reply. Work kept me occupied. I'll post my thoughts down below, so if anyone wants to disagree with me, by all means, the option's right there, but ever since I joined G@G, I have always been a straight to the point, no bs guy, and I continue to be that way. You are entitled to your own opinion the same as I am. This will also be nsfw so.. d'uh.

Anyways now that that's over with, to answer your question, there IS no good answer here, sadly. I didn't bother to check any of the other opinions here, but yes, if you live in the west and you get pregnant due to unprotected sex or just straight up decide you don't want a child anymore midway through your pregnancy, you're not only encouraged to go for an abortion, but some may even expect you to. That's one reason why people think it's a smart choice.

As sex is open for all, you can either take the pill or use a condom if you don't feel like getting impregnated/impregnating someone else. And even if you DO end up getting pregnant for reasons like the condom breaking or the guy not pulling out in time, it's fine if you go for an abortion if you don't want the baby. In fact, the girl doesn't even NEED to ask the father if he wishes for the abortion (even if they're married) because for the most part, it's also believed that the father has no say in whether or not the mother wishes to keep the child or not (even though he's the reason the baby even EXISTS and they may have originally decided on keeping it, but then later on the mother was like "y'know what? I don't feel like becoming a mom anymore."

As for seeing it through the Islamic point of view, yes. Going for an abortion is a sin and it's equal to murder because you are quite literally killing a living being regardless of them being born or not. Unlawful sex itself (sex without marriage) is also a sin and considered zinna i. e one of the most major sins out there, but in case of an unplanned pregnancy due to unlawful sex, it's advised you bear with it and thank Allah for the lofe he has bestowed upon you. You did this knowingly and now, you must bear with what it entails.

Strolling down your opinion I gained one information, "even if they're married", I can see why some guys in the west start hating women after divorce more than ever.

Yes, I'm in the side of my religion point of view, but I can't my self to really despise women who'd have actual reasons that makes sense, I go all silent when it's about rape (like laissez-faire), when it comes to the baby's health I grow annoyed but I can feel the heartache when you know your baby isn't going to be healthy even though I still disagree with the solution that came out, when it comes to the woman's health and life I honestly don't know what to say just lost I mean we were given desires by Allah thus selfish I can feel fear and great desire to survive as most humans there's just great emptiness when I hear about it (the calyst to why I decided I don't want biological children, I know I'd sacrifice for them if I had to, the maternal obligation scares me)

I saw one opinion of a man that stereotyped over removing those fetus as what others (particularly the mother's) deemed necessary and how they would have been unhappy if they had been born, how it's for the best. Like, why so much malice as if the fetus is the cause of everything?

No one thinks it's heinous to remove them for every little thing and go just 'Oh' as if it's very normal and that's very excepted. Downright cultural and religion shock as preteen watching American movies and actually understands unlike when I was a kid

@Rania05 well, sadly yes. That's true. If the child is born from the result of rape, the mother might want to abort it as she most likely wouldn't want anything to do with the man who put it in her much less the baby. But even so, it's still considered murder.

There are other ways to go about it handling unwanted children as well. Over here in Pakistan, there's a center called Edhi which takes care of such orphaned and unwanted kids. There are small cradles placed at check stations where parents who don't want their newborns, or even parents who are so poor they cannot afford to take care of a child, drop their babies in the cradles and every few hours, a nurse comes around, collects the babies and takes them away, without a word.

It's really sad and even heartbreaking to see, and I've seen people come and place their babies in there and leave them forever. But it's a better alternative than outright killing your child in cold blood. It is what it is. The child then grows up around other unwanted kids much like themselves, at a nursing home, being taken care of strangers who they then refer and look up to as their guardians. I've been there a few times and it always gets me emotional to see them. That's why I decided I'll one day adopt a child or two and make them feel wanted and loved.
