I know someone who was born a guy but after turning 18, they decided they'd rather be identified as a woman, so they transitioned themselves into one and started referring to themselves as "she/her". She underwent the procedure, got boobs, a slightly more feminine voice change and a more feminine frame, but still decided to keep her penis.
If you'd see her from afar, you'd think she was an ordinary girl and for the most part, a lot of people thought so for the longest time. That is, until one day when she was in the locker room at the pool once and a bunch of girls screamed and ran out because she had stripped in front of them and they had seen her penis, which is clearly NOT a female organ. Regardless, she was banned from the pool after that.
My point is, that this whole story I narrated quite clearly explains why trans women and vice versa trans men can't and won't be allowed to change in strictly men and/or women locker rooms, and if anyone's still wondering why, read again and ask yourself if you're a woman, how YOU might react about seeing a woman with a penis change in front of you, or knowing they were once a man. Some may be comfortable and unbothered but a lot of women here may think otherwise, and I'm not here to play the blame game, but if the roles were reverse, I too would be very uncomfortable changing in front of a trans man who I knew was a woman once (yes, not ALL us guys are voyeurs and like having the opposite gender stare at our junk).
So the solution? Build separate non-binary changing rooms and showers for said people where they can change without being judged for their body parts or being stared at by others. It's as simple as that.
So because they might be at danger from men in mens locker rooms, we should have to be at danger from men in women's locker rooms? The best solution is to make them thier own locker rooms. Look I'm not un sympathetic. I understand that there are people that might not be hardwired quite correctly. But being female is not a social construct its a biological fact. I mean if I was transgender and I claimed to know what it is like to be female. I would like to think I would have the self awareness enough to ask my self a few questions. Like " why does my big fat cock make the other girls nervouse?" " why do the other women feel unsafe being completely naked around my hulking 6'2 210 pound frame " " why are they repulsed by my 7inch rock hard clit... don't they know I'm a lesbien so it is perfectly normal for me to get sexually excited over seeing them naked" " i just dont understand. I mean 1 out of 5 girls dont make it to adult hood with out being molested by a male cousin a brother a uncle your father. A trans women is a women by all intents and purposes. We have trans individuals at work. They use the female locker room and toilets. Just as the F to M people use the mens. No one really has an issue with it and if they did they can use the room at another time! Why is it that no one here is saying it’s dangerous for a young transitioning (f) who is living as a male to use the mens restroom, changing room etc….

If we're talking about a locker room, I can see how it MIGHT be a problem for someone that IS transitioning to be there but, even as such, I seriously doubt she's gonna be sneaking peaks at you naked with designs on having sex with you! The person pictured above is NOT a transsexual!! Transsexuals almost HAVE to present as female in public for a while before they are given the okay to get the final operation (s). This person is not even TRYING to present as female!! At best, he is a transvestite or even a female impersonator, probably more along the lines of a drag queen! And, therefore, should NOT be allowed in a women's bathroom or locker room! Now, if he's a fag, too, then, that shouldn't be a problem. I used to work with a dinner theatre and one of the male actors was gay so, none of the female actors minded him getting changed in the women's room with them, which he always did.

There are only two sexes, male & female (ok, fine there are hermaphrodites, but they are sooo seldom in nature). This is an incontrovertible, biological fact. So-called ‘gender reassignment surgery’ is simply a medical-marketing term for mutilation ;)
I do believe trans people should be classified as a third-gender. They still are human beings, albeit they obviously are quite eccentric.
I think they should have their own area to change in. The separation of their genders and sex’s is what makes them different. They deserve the same respect as anyone else and their lifestyle is very valid. Honestly pervs exist in either locker rooms too. The fact that people are more worried about changing in the same room with someone of the opposite gender is very naive to believe that there aren’t other pervs in the locker room too. There have been countless times I’ve been creeped out by old nasty men in my locker room. I’d prefer to change with someone of the opposite gender than changing with old wrinkly dudes who won’t stop staring.
Let's face it, trans women may sure feel they're women, but physically there's still a difference, whether a complete gender change has been done or not. In spite of this plain logic fact, I don't see why they should not be allowed in women's locker rooms.
I guess natural women in their locker to be suspicious, where on the other hand natural men in the men's locker room will most likely mock and tease a trans. So, just leaving the choice to the involved trans person seems the most logic action.
The number of trans persons being limited, it makes no sense either to have a locker room specifically for trans people. Their situation is not easy.

Of course, the idea of allowing biological males that identify as "female" enter female spaces opens a rather nasty can of worms. Because who's to prevent a sex offender from abusing that opportunity? And how would that be regulated?
On the other hand, having trans women forced to remain in male spaces/facilities (especially if they REALLY pass as female) might come off a bit strange also, because now THEY could be vulnerable to sexual assault.

Women should be able to have privacy and feel safe in a public bathroom. Without the presence of a MAN who considers womanhood to be an accessory. No. Because your chosen lifestyle is your individual decision and should not be forced on everyone around you. If you're trans, that means you're acting a different lifestyle. It doesn't mean that you actually are the other gender. And that also means that others shouldn't be held accountable for your individual lifestyle choice.

Before, I was a diehard trans supporter. Since I found out there's USA gov. Backed "trans awareness education," in Pakistan, I started questioning it. Now, I agree with Joe Rogan's guest: it's probably a form of body dysmorphia (the way transgenderism is regarded in parts of Europe).

You won't find the stats to confirm this but there may be more female sex offenders than male sex offenders. I remember a post from years ago that talked about how female sex offenders are often overlooked.

A lot of people don't think about the long term/possible downsides of worrying so much about other people's feelings tho. They think life is all about the individual being happy and not about how what that individual does impacts society.

They should either get a separate room, or do it with other women who are okay with it. Seperation is necessary as it's a whole different gender. We can't force them in into men's room. That's inhuman.

I don't mean to be argumentative but that wasn't my point. The former would be a lack of critical thought, the latter would oppose the idea but submit to it in fear of social punishment.
I'd argue that behavior is scarily realistic nowadays, and in the face of a lack of tone, body language, etc, it isn't always clear. Notice how nobody said "yer dumb" until after her true intention was clarified. It's easy to take that stance after she made it clear, I question whether you would have prior.

I see where you're coming from, hindsight is 20/20 and its more clear to me, but I've also interacted with plenty of delicate, more timid women who use that sort of terminology and sentence structure to avoid conflict or opposition.
Here’s what I think.. if the trans person can obviously pass and looks like a woman/Man then sure but if it’s clearly a man in a wig then absolutely not

No. Though I'm of the opinion that locker rooms where people get naked in general is antiquated and should be replaced with something like small changing rooms with doors.
