Because the industry is unwilling to provide as many products for men as it is for women. Men only get one mostly reliable option women have many almost totally reliable options.
Because medical science is mostly dominated by men and is designed to help men more than women. I've read several articles about birth control pills for men, but the reason they weren't distributed is because of the side effects. Guess what the side effects were? Weight gain, mood swings, headaches, etc. Exactly the same side effects that women's birth control have. Women are just supposed to suck it up and endure those side effects just because men can't handle them.
They’ve been in testing for awhile. There isn’t a lot of demand for it because it doesn’t have any added benefits, quite a few side effects reported and a large percentage of men aren’t having regular sex anyway.
Our soy-based diet and xenoestrogen contamination of foods is pushing testosterone levels of Western men down and fertility rates are falling, so we already do.
Not as many as there were before the 1970s. Most of those unplanned pregnancies were to married couples, but the birth rate (planned and unplanned) was way higher than now. The effect of poor diet and chemical contamination is clearly expressed in that it’s not just the birth rate that is plummeting, but also levels of sexual activity in general.
Or more likely because contraception use and sex education is way better than it was in the 70s… and that’s why the birth rate is going down, because people are choosing not to have children
Then maybe you should eat healthier and see a doctor… but yes that is why birth rates are declining, because people are choosing not to have children, while unplanned and unwanted pregnancies are still a huge issue, it’s not as bad as it used to be
I’ve wondered the same thing. I think, when it comes to the pill though, it’s easier to block pregnancy than to block sperm. But, who knows, the manufacturers for the pill may be blocking research on it.
I never said anything about how you shouldn't have kids, maybe you should take a little bit more time to read what is written before jumping to conclusions. What I asked was unless you are currently trying to have a child, why don’t you have one? Like you suggested with your original answer.
Because it’s irreversible in most cases and even if it wasn’t, why would they do it? There’s no reason to do it. If you have to go to sleep on your bed, do you tie yourself to your bed with a rope?
If you want to stay home and not go out, do you tie your legs together so you are left unable to walk out?
“ A vasectomy is usually considered to be a permanent form of contraception because it's not always possible to reverse the procedure. If you're considering having a vasectomy, you should bear this in mind and think very carefully before making your decision.”
Your question was why there’s no birth control for men but there is and it’s called vasectomy. And why would I have it? Why are you so obsessed with neutering all men? You realise you also need men for women to exist and women won’t exist if you neuter men?
Because I don’t want to and I don’t need to and also because it’s often irreversible. I can’t believe that you’re even asking me such kind of question.
actually it is rare that it is not reversible.. not the other way around. There is a 95% reversal rate. You are the one who brought up vasectomies as a form of male birth control, I can't believe that you consider it a viable option and dont have one just because you don't want it. Anyway thanks for answering the question.
I think a lot of men barely know about it and the ones that heard of it before are probably a little bit scared because they simply are uneducated about the procedure.
I know my father has done it a few years ago so that's how I heard about it for the first time but I still have no clue what it exactly is and if there are risks involved having this procedures.
A vasectomy sounds great but Im scared it can go wrong and end up ruin my chances to have children ever again so as long as I can avoid it I will because I hate doctors and hospitals.
But if I get in a stable relationship again and my girlfriend wants to stop with birth control for whatever reason... it will be something that I will consider doing after having more knowledge about the procedure

I read it’s in the works. Think it’s just a pill. I should read the science on it. For females it starts their cycle or something, sluffing off eggs? How would a pill cut off semen from our ejaculate?
Hormonal male birth control would prevent sperm from being produced, that's how it would work. Kind of like a chemical vasectomy if you would.
Female hormonal birth control works similarly, it doesn't kill the egg, it just tricks the body into thinking it's already pregnant so the ovaries do not release an egg. Other forms of female birth control prevent the egg, weather it is fertilized or not from being able to implant into the uterine lining.
It was tried, but the guys complained about the symptoms and it ended up getting scrapped. To my understanding, it was the same symptoms as what women are expected to handle on birth control pills.
As is it for Women who are currently taking birth control, I was 16 when a girl I was working with got a stroke because of the birth control she was on.
Just telling you what happened in the test case when they trued make birth control. Hell an ex of mine was put on birth control whrn shd was 15 because she had real bad periods that were painful and last two weeks at a time, she got a fat ass on birth control but she didn't hang herself.

Because the industry is unwilling to provide as many products for men as it is for women. Men only get one mostly reliable option women have many almost totally reliable options.
Options that cause cancers, hear attacks, strokes, hormonal imbalances, decreased sex drives… and a plethora of other health issues
Take it up with the industry then!

I always thought they did... if not a condom, then something else. Or it was being researched by the medical professionals long ago, but I guess not.
Our soy-based diet and xenoestrogen contamination of foods is pushing testosterone levels of Western men down and fertility rates are falling, so we already do.
Funny there are so many unplanned pregnancies then
Not as many as there were before the 1970s.
Is that why people are having less sex? The overall level of sexual activity is going down. Testosterone levels in men are measurably going down too.
Then maybe you should eat healthier and see a doctor… but yes that is why birth rates are declining, because people are choosing not to have children, while unplanned and unwanted pregnancies are still a huge issue, it’s not as bad as it used to be
doesn't a condom count? And its not technically that great of a feeling for guys... Ever bust a big load in a condom? Sometimes it hurts.
So does having a baby rip through your gentiles to be born
Because men don't have the capacity to become impregnated or to give birth so what would they need birth control for?
But if we're being technical don't condoms count as male birth control?
I’ve wondered the same thing. I think, when it comes to the pill though, it’s easier to block pregnancy than to block sperm. But, who knows, the manufacturers for the pill may be blocking research on it.
Using your analogy, there are many more guns and bullets than bullet proof vests. Similar thing with men and women birth control.
Not going to take it, just like women should not take it
Have you ever heard of vasectomy? When will you stop asking such dumb questions?😂
Do you have one?
Are you trying take a jab at me just because I called you out for asking such a ridiculous question?🤔
Not at all, you’re the one who brought it up and provided it as an answer. Do you have one?
What makes you think I should?
Are you sterilised? If not, then why?
There is a big difference between sterilization and and getting a reversible vasectomies. I have gone through medical procedures to get birth control.
But you’re the one that used a vasectomy as an example for birth control, so unless you are trying to have a child, why don’t you have one?
What’s it to you though? Why should I not have kids? Why do you have this obsession of neutering every man?
And you should know that vasectomy is more often than not irreversible. This shows how biased you really are.
I never said anything about how you shouldn't have kids, maybe you should take a little bit more time to read what is written before jumping to conclusions. What I asked was unless you are currently trying to have a child, why don’t you have one? Like you suggested with your original answer.
So according to you every man should have a vasectomy if they don’t intend to have children in the meantime? That is what you are saying, correct?
No I am asking why they dont do that...
What exactly is your point?
Actually it is reversible in most cases... This medical facility as a 95%+ reversal rate.

“ A vasectomy is usually considered to be a permanent form of contraception because it's not always possible to reverse the procedure. If you're considering having a vasectomy, you should bear this in mind and think very carefully before making your decision.”
www.nhs.uk/.../
And you would still say they should get a vasectomy?
Actually that is what you said when you answered, "Have you ever heard of vasectomy? "... So asked if you had one and if not why?
Your question was why there’s no birth control for men but there is and it’s called vasectomy. And why would I have it? Why are you so obsessed with neutering all men? You realise you also need men for women to exist and women won’t exist if you neuter men?
Okay fore the sake of your answer my question for you is if you aren’t currently trying to be a father why don’t you have one?
Because I don’t want to and I don’t need to and also because it’s often irreversible. I can’t believe that you’re even asking me such kind of question.

vasectomy already excists only you never hear about it
Then why don’t more men who don’t want to have children now get them?
I think a lot of men barely know about it and the ones that heard of it before are probably a little bit scared because they simply are uneducated about the procedure.
I know my father has done it a few years ago so that's how I heard about it for the first time but I still have no clue what it exactly is and if there are risks involved having this procedures.

I’ve never met an adult that didn’t know what a Vasectomy was…
I know enough adults that never heard of it before until I told them my father had one
You live in the Bible Belt or something?
Hahaha 😂 I didn't know the Bible Belt had this much criminality and huge amounts of drugs in it. Doesn't seem like a holy place to me 🤷🏼♂️🤔
They do
It's called "condoms" and "vasectomy"
I read it’s in the works. Think it’s just a pill. I should read the science on it. For females it starts their cycle or something, sluffing off eggs? How would a pill cut off semen from our ejaculate?
It would prevent it from being produced to begin with
Spare me your doctor’s mumbo jumbo. Give it to me straight.
Oh I read the Nazis tried chemical castration. I should get that…
That is not the same thing at all lol.
That’s blasphemy against mein Fuhrer! Snell to the camps!
Gonadotrophin isn't used in any form of birth control... and is primarily used to treat prostate cancer.
It was tried, but the guys complained about the symptoms and it ended up getting scrapped. To my understanding, it was the same symptoms as what women are expected to handle on birth control pills.
We do! It's called a vasectomy for long term and condoms for short term.
Why not hormonal birth control…. We can fly rockets to the moon but can’t figure out a pill for men?
Yeah men should pay for the birth control method
They do but it had serious negative effect such as impotence, low testosterone, depression, low sex drive and suicidal tendencies.
That sounds a lot like the birth control options for women except stroke and heart attack risk aswell
No it's was a real serious issue for the men that took it
As is it for Women who are currently taking birth control, I was 16 when a girl I was working with got a stroke because of the birth control she was on.
Just telling you what happened in the test case when they trued make birth control. Hell an ex of mine was put on birth control whrn shd was 15 because she had real bad periods that were painful and last two weeks at a time, she got a fat ass on birth control but she didn't hang herself.
Okay? And?
"Why don’t they have birth control for men?"
Because there's no safe birth control pill for men.
What about vasectomies?
Surgery
Uh…. They do. If you want to sleep around. You’re reponsibke for your own choices
I'm good thanks. I don't mind wearing a condom, though I'm aware it's not 100% effective.
