Why is the first idea for the male birth control pill discontinued due to side effects when those are the exact same side effects in the female pill?

because they might be the exact same side effects... but they will not affect men and women the exact same way
first of all, and the most obvious one, the benefit-risks of being on hormonal pills... women do take these pills because they definitely do not want to end up pregnant themselves so the stakes for women are quite high, the risk of not taking it is getting pregnant... while for men, if they were to quit these pills, there will be no risks for men, other than possibly getting someone pregnant, so men could be more careless and just drop the pill
also, men are very different... women produce eggs in monthly cycles, while men produce millions of sperm on the daily, so the hormones needed to suppress testosterone on a daily basis will require a different approach, and because you're constantly suppressing male testosterone levels... the same side effects will affect men differently, and this is what the studies had shown, many of them men started to have severe depression and also severe irritability with the mood swings, which lead to attempts of suicide or outbursts of drastic violence, and sever outbreaks of acne
and then you have the effectiveness, while the female birth control pill has the potential to be 99% effective as it only has to stop an egg once a month... the male birth control pill still had many couples ending up pregnant, because you have to stop millions upon millions of sperm on a daily basis... and some of them stubborn rascals are going to find their way to the jackpot, lol
So if the female pill is 99% effective... what is the percent for the male pill?
And was the male pill tested widely enough to know the percent of severe depression and moodiness in comparison to females?
The reason some women have quit the pill and rather get pregnant is due to severe mood changes. So 💁♀️
that would depend on the particular study you would be looking at... but this beyond the actual numbers
the actual problem is how easily man drop the pill altogether, because they just don't like it... it brings a lot of risk with not much guaranteed benefit, so that is a substantial detriment
many studies are extensive enough and also world wide but again, the mere fact that this pill can drive men to kill themselves or kill others is negative enough
like I said in my post... this is about effect vs affect, that is the key difference
yes... for every woman that drops the female birth control pill, because they do not want the side effects against the risks of not taking
you will probably have 99 men dropping the male birth control pill... that is the issue and the reason why
Whether that has to do with side effects memory simply men being able to run away because their bellies aren't carrying a child. Might be debatable 🤣
men already run away after getting women pregnant... and they do not care to quit on their own baby and the mother alone
so yeah, quitting A pill... will be much easier
For some reason there are many dead beat fathers.
yes, but the main one is being careless about their responsibilities
Mmm hmm
I was put on some meds for a health issue a number of years ago. It came with side effects that were slow to appear so I didn’t connected the dots. I was then put on more meds to fix those side effects. When I went off them for awhile inadvertently and all the side effects disappeared I told my doctor and they told me that I was wrong, refusing to even listen to me. I eventually found a better solution for my original issue which just involved modifying my diet and basically eliminated almost all of my health problems.
Big Pharma is not in the business of curing people. They're in the business of making money. If it helps people along the way that’s a bonus.
I think birth control for both women and men have caused very serious long term issues that we still don’t understand yet.
I agree. I have long decides I wouldn't use drugs unless absolutely necessary. Even regular use of painkillers can lead to acid reflux...
Tbh I think it's simply just that society views it more as a woman's responsibility to make sure she doesn't get pregnant rather than a guy's. It's stupid but oh well.
Just to continue this, pregnancy isn't at all bad if it's planned. But for unplanned pregnancies, it's similar to sexual violence where women are often blamed. I mean seriously? The male birth control pill is discontinued while in the US, more states are banning abortions. Give me a break.
Because God forbid guys deal with discomfort like us

Anybody who knows anything about the hormonal system will know that this was a terrible right from the beginning. This seems a little suspicious to me.
Steroid use is illegal in many places, and if not, it’s illegal to sell them. All steroids are based on testosterone, that’s all they do, mimmic the effects of testosterone.
The reason they’re illegal is not because of “cheating” in sports, but because of the long-term damage caused by steroid use to the hormonal system.
When you inject testosterone your body shuts down natural testosterone production, as in the testicles shut down, because your hormonal system detects excess levels. The longer that the testicles are shut down, the more likely it is that this will cause hypogonadism.
There are ways to help the testicles work again after using steroids, for example by taking estrogen blockers and injecting HCG, but the testicles never work the same as they did before. They never produce as much testosterone, even if you take them short term. That’s hypogonadism.
Hypogonadism obviously leads to low testosterone. Low testosterone is what causes those side effects mentioned, including depression, weight gain, high cholesterol, and a bunch of other health issues.
In today’s world, what with all the feminist messaging about “toxic masculinity” and all that’s stuff, people think that testosterone is bad and that there should be no issue with low testosterone, and that only meatheads would care. But healthy testosterone levels are essential to a man’s physical and mental health.
If this pill targets testosterone production, it will have the exact same effect. The testosterone levels would have to be ridiculously low in order to make a man infertile. They have to shut the testicles down hard.
In some studies they’ve tried to remedy this by also adding synthetic testosterone along with the drug which suppresses natural production, but like I said, steroid use does the same thing. It doesn’t make any sense.
Interesting answer.
Tampering with natural functions never seems to be a good idea. Even if it was, I wouldn't do it because natural is meant to be, with rare exceptions of "abnormal" nature... but even many abnormal thrive.
Aver, the female pill and the male pill have different origins and purposes, the female contraceptive pill was legalized by pressure from women, this with the aim of being promiscuous without having the consequence of pregnancy. “The Pill,” as it became to be known, began the sexual revolution, and is directly responsible for many of the societal problems today, from rampant divorce to high promiscuity to lack of happiness in both women and men. Since man does not need any pill nor does he want an excuse to be promiscuous, then that pill is not necessary, in addition to birth control pills cause sick creatures, crazy, paralyzed, deaf and dumb, blind, idiots, homosexuals, lesbian women, etc.
Laws about what's acceptable has gotten stricter.
If someone tried to get the female version approved today they'd probably fail.
But since it's already approved it's not going anywhere.
Most of you think the birth control pill freed you... but it did the opposite. The male pill will never see the light of day because the pill never had anything to do with helping either gender.
Sounds like they can be fatal. Are womens b. c., fatal?
Sometimes... they also can get depressed
Further I heard a link with some type of ovarian cancer... that killed a famous lady's mother
Women enjoy cutting themself and doing surgery on them selves dying their hair.
Bbl, boob jobs, nose jobs, anti -depressin pill is what women use a lot
So they like bing test dummies.
Also, men create life. And work longer, and fight in wars so we are slightly more valuable
The female pill doesn't depress libido.
Where'd you read that?
Good question.. sorry no answer
