Who all believes that a person who makes false accusations, causing the person to lose their family, job, and home, should face prison time?

It's a simple question. The following article is one of the very first times I have ever seen a false accuser get consequences for their actions.

All false accusations do, besides harming the accused irreparably, is make it harder for real victims to be heard. If you're a false accuser, male or female, you're not human, you're a monster and deserve every bit of the consequences that the falsely accused faced, times 10.

They're absolutely should be consequences for false accusations. It would be a long process but there should be a process. The first step would be deciding that the accused is innocent. The next step would be the decision as to whether or not to bring charges against the accuser. And finally the accuser would have to be convicted. I doubt if anyone is going to even suggest going through that. People's heads would be exploding the moment you suggested something like that. You know, "Always trust the accuser."

I fully believe that no matter the situation or gender, anyone who makes a false accusation resulting in charges or a conviction only later to find out that such accusations were false or half truths should face the penalty and original criminal sentence of the accused. Furthermore, the police, accuser (s), state, county, city, and all associated prosecutor (s) should all be able to be sued civilly and forced to pay damages to the falsely accused defendant for life!

No, because the Constitution protects our free speech and that includes our right to lie and make false allegations. If we locked people up for that 99.9% of politicians would be in jail.

Actually no there are laws against making false reports to the police.. Which is only and specifically what I speak of.. Not making false claims to the public..
