Protesting is fine, but he obstructed and helped others to do so, so yeah, he deserved it.

I take it you haven't been following the Jan 6 committee hearings? Jan 6 was the final attempt to steal the presidency from the people of the United States. There were many steps taken, only a few legal, leading up to that, and the planning to ignore the results of the election was already underway in October 2020. He knew he'd lost weeks before Jan 6th.

I also remember when Trump refused to give Biden the presidential powers due to an incoming president and no one knew why--this is the reason. He thought that he could overthrow the eleection and did everything in his power to do it.

A federal judge in Michigan sanctioned nine attorneys, including Sidney Powell, for making frivolous allegations in an election fraud case, describing the case as a historic and profound abuse of the judicial process."
