Question

Seems to me most protesters are 17 to 24 and complaining.

Seems most voters are age 45 to 70

At what age do people get more political?

Also would you agree that most people aged 18 to 49 vote for Democrats and most people age 50 to 99 vote Republican? This is do to 18 to 49 wanting more things and 50 to 99 want to preserve what they already have?

Frankly, I was interested in politics well before I was old enough to vote. In fact, I recall following the 1976 presidential election between President Ford and Jimmy Carter intensely. Ditto the 1980 race between President Carter and Ronald Reagan.

Those stand out but I also recall following various issues and other races. Perhaps my favorite moment came when I wrote two articles for my high school newspaper - I was a junior and would become editor of the editorial section in my senior year. One was about inflation, the other about the Warsaw Pact.

No kidding.

To this day, my newspaper teacher, with whom I have stayed in touch all these years, still teases me about the Warsaw Pact. It is the stuff of legend, don't ya know.

Ironically, the editor-in-chief, a senior, actually published the article on inflation. He placed it under the headline "Why you are getting less for your Money" and showed a picture under the headline of a student buying something at the school store. (My high school had a student run school store where you could buy candy, school clothes like socks, t-shirts and the like, etc. It being worth adding that the inflation rate in 1980 was 13.1% - far higher than what we have had recently.)

Anyhow, the rest, as they say, is history. Suffice to add that when I went to my high school reunion a few years ago, I was actually kind of flattered when other people whom I had not really known that well in high school said, "Hey, I remember you. You were the smart kid."

It will probably come as a surprise to no one, then, that in 1988 - about 3 years after I graduated college - I moved to Washington, DC. Since then, I have spent my career in politics.

Young people that are less experienced in life and that have lots of liberal indoctrination (lies) pushed onto them by school are more likely to protest (riot, steal, loot, rob, and arson). Older people that had to work and earn what they have tend to vote conservative. The people that stayed on welfare/assistance programs, were lazy, and have lots of debt for their useless degree tend to continue voting democrat.

In modern times the majority of people are now political. There really is no avoiding it unless you live in a remote location away from most of society. When your job is sabotaged or you are now poor due to high inflation, you can't help but notice it.

Now even elementary aged kids are noticing it. Partly because they see how expensive gas and food are when they go to the store with their parents, but also because schools and many teachers are pushing liberal agenda onto them, especially promoting transgenderism and encouraging racism and unfair treatment against Whites and Asians. Yes, I have worked in schools for 12 years in liberal CA so I have seen plenty of it.

I'm doing a lot of research because I'll be able to vote if a few years time. I used to be leftist but after reasearch, I found that i'm very republican. I was simply brainwashed and people who don't do their research now, will also be.

As soon as you get a serious jobs and start to see how democrats waste money on useless social programs and handouts for illegal aliens and see how harmful their polices are for working Americans they decide that maybe socialism isn't such a great idea after all. Then maybe they got mugged on the subway too.

Has more to do with the ever greater amounts of real life experience and number of elections you've already seen promising more or less the same old things.

Thus is why its a lot harder for an older person to be fooled into believing anything what ever a politician tries to sell. They had already seen what it really is from past elections and life experience.

They have learned from experience how the world really works, and as such are too well informed by the same to be fooled, as the children who have seen nothing at all beyond the spoon fed lies.

Wrong, most young folks are way too busy having sex, getting an education, or playing video games to be worried about your insane politics. It is only when they are confronted with a political issue directly do they even consider being political. Old dudes, like you vote in every single election. A young person couldn't even tell you where they are supposed to vote, much less who they would vote for.

27 to 30, because they're no longer young, and start to shift out of their Liberal Phase and into a more Independent or Conservative Phase. Although I got soured on the left by 2014, which means I was 28 when I stopped really being Liberal. I never changed; it's the Democrats who changed and slowly turned into fascists.

i think everyone is political. whether they're actively engaged or not. i would say that the more young and inexperienced you are, the more you lean to the left generally speaking and the more experience you gather and the more you learn in life, the more you lean to the right in general.

I think it's true that old people are more likely to vote, which unfortunately results in political parties moving remorselessly to the right, both here and in the US. I know when I was a young adult I was too preoccupied with getting laid to take much notice of politics.

Even younger than 18 nowadays, and that’s a fair assessment. Wasn’t accurate for me though, I was very conservative (not my actual beliefs, more like parroting talking points to gain approval from family) from 12 to about 16 or so.
