Herschel Walker said voters born after 1990 “haven’t earned the right” to change the country, invited them to leave, and wanted them stripped of their citizenship.

Nobody over the age of 18 has earned the right to vote, it’s a RIGHT, we don’t earn rights we are born with them! It’s asinine on its face we have combat veterans who shed blood for this country who were born after 1990! Look, I’m a former Democrat, now Independent, but voted almost straight Dem in the midterms… however, I have to believe he was speaking hyperbole, he is in the election run-off of his life, I just cannot believe he would seriously say something as devastatingly stupid as THAT! Even though I wouldn't vote for him if I lived in Georgia, I still can’t believe he would say something THAT dumb w/o it being at least an ATTEMPT at humor!

Oh boomers... They just hate the millennials and gen z holding them accountable huh
Everyone should have to pass a "citizenship test" to be able to vote. We have immigrants who know more about the US than people born here. It's sad. Also, I don't see why Walker decided that anyone under 32 hasn't earned the right. What happened that allowed those born in 1990 to vote, while not everyone was born after it? What happened to earn them the right to vote? My cousin was born on January 2, 1991. I highly doubt that someone born on December 31, 1990, has earned the right more than someone born 2 days later.

Gee, I wonder why he would say that? 🤔

Oh no, this is a racist question cause he's black right?
as for the question, doesn't matter. It is a right, no one has to earn a right. Be it to vote or own a gun, it is a given. We need less restrictions on both, and I think they should be tied together.
Get a voter ID card and it can be used to buy a gun. After all if the background check to determine someone is legal to vote is good enough, to show they are legal then it should work for both.
Herschel Walker is the type of guy who will talk about the border wall positively, debunk it in the same sentence, and then somehow talk about his dog all at the same time. Because he literally did. He also admitted to living in Texas in a speech a couple years ago WHEN HE’S RUNNING FOR A POSITION IN GEORGIA. He seems chill and fun, but he isn’t cut out for politics or making political statements, especially ones like this.
Walker is no brain trust and whatever he mistakenly says means just about nothing. No one earns the right to vote, just like no one born here earns citizenship. It's gifted to those born here and those who live to be 18 years of age.
Whether a person EXERCISES their right to vote or performs other duties allied with citizenship is another matter entirely. But, he's simply and sadly wrong.
Observations by a 3rd party supporter: Trump's meddling gave the Republicans this doofus and Oz in PA, and a slew of like candidates in House races that likely led to a much smaller than they should have had House majority. Normal Republicans probably could have won both Senate races outright, and given them a majority there, as well.
I feel there should be a level of competency to go with the age of 18 to vote. Whether or not the voter is smart is another story.
Herschel Walker needs to learn the English language and how to utter a coherent sentence before he gets to talk about who should or shouldn't have a right to vote. Seriously, when he speaks it's just random English words coming out of his mouth. I guarantee you that motherfucker got severe brain damage from his days in the NFL.
Of course not. They were born here, they live here, they pay taxes and they work. What goes on in politics directly affects them. They have earned the right to vote. To imply someone who is a citizen has no right to vote by virtue of birth year alone, is no real American.

I don't know who this guy is, but he shouldn't be making nonsensical statements.
citizenship test wouldn't be a bad idea. it's a shame when native-born citizens don't know a damn thing about their country's history or rather they choose to believe in the propaganda spewed out by the left-wing mainstream media.
Oh course that type of republican would want less democracy after all when less people in general vote they win good thing that bitch lost
You don't earn the right to vote, it's an automatic constitutional right when you turn 18(17 for primaries) so he's full of sheet and I strongly disagree.
Herschel needs to resume his contests of competitive Russian roulette. He says he's "blessed" so he should be safe. :)
Nobody has to “earn” the right to vote. That kind of gate keeping is anti-democratic.
I disagree. If people meet the legal requirements to vote, let them vote.
Lol no. Couldn't anyone say the same thing about him for being black 🤦♀️
I strongly disagree with Herschel Walker.
Sounds like something Herschel would say while he's paying for some girl's abortion.
Dude has the intellect of a cabbage. A dumb cabbage at that.
What a clown.
Vote is a fundamental right in a democracy.
He’s mad because Welfare Queen used his taxes to buy stuff
