i say it depends... on if EVERY election is rigged. As adam has said (adam conover; adam ruins everything) voting isn't real. It makes you feel like you have power but the gov or whatever can just say "Eeeeh...(republican name) wins this time. And (democrat) can win... later."

Sure, that's probably not how that works but the point is, elections are surely not decided by how much people say so. You wanna punch me for it, well better find me before I leave this hotel for work.

Politics are a deception, no one is in control, elections are rigged, it's hard to have any form of faith for someone or something that you know will turn on you, who do you think counts the votes, the government themselves so you got to go by their word, they can easily lie about the counts and deceive everyone that believes it, I have no faith in the government being for the people and I have no faith in politics itself, it's all full of greedy, selfish and ignorant people.

This is classic right wing politics. They win when fewer people vote…a la 2016. Women and blacks (compared to 2012) stayed home.

I can see the argument “Why would we want the dumbest, least reliable citizens to vote?” Well. Because that makes us a democracy. Not an autocracy or oligarchy etc.

Even the less reliable have issues they’d like fixed and if we can entice them to vote that means more productive country. ie…Progressive (hissssss)

@Still-alive I do agree with you. After all of these years, people vote. They should know whether the electoral college is used for Presidential elections or not. My opinion is nope it's all a racket and US President elections are selected.
