My analogy of the Constitution is with "The Rules of Golf". The rule book itself is a rather short compilation, but "The Decisions on the Rules" is a gigantic book filled with all the possible situations that have arisen from the application of the rules. That would be the Judicial Branch of government.

That, in my humble opinion, is where things have gotten really fucked up throughout our history. Not only does the Constitution need some revising, but so too do the laws we've enacted to get us to this point.

Yes if it meant drafting up new laws that actualy were sensible. So strict gun laws, not making laws based on religeous beliefs, allowing women and men freedom of choice over their own bodies. No discrimination based on sex, race or gender identity. Limit tax havens for the rich and force companys to pay full tax if they have at least one office based in the USA, politicians to disclose any business interests and disclose tax returns at the end of each year in office. Cut political ties with countries that have poor human rights records.
