Truth is subjective and holds little more value than rhetoric, if any.
In politicians, US citizens tend to seek out candidates who share their “truth”, which IS what makes them feel good. This is almost certainly universally true. What’s the first thing you tell yourself when someone you voted for sings a tune you despise? “All politicians lie.” It’s not on you for buying their pitch. It’s on them for lying. Ell oh ell! Voters will even change their own tune rather than admit they made a mistake! Haha!

If you have not read 1984 i suggest giving it a read to any one, despite being written over 70 years ago what you read you can see happening today all around in the media and the constant need for some one to "fight" an enemy to distract from how shit they have made things for all of us.
