+1 y“Personally I believe it's fed by the media and the need to blame others for there own short comings and unhappiness which makes us such easy targets,”
Let’s take a look at the calendar. It’s 2023 not 1985. Gay marriage is legal in all 50 states and the alphabet people (who consist of A LOT more than gay people) are literally getting a new letter or symbol added to their long identity list now.
Truth is most straight guys do NOT care about your lifestyle. It was supposedly all about government and society staying out of business of what two consenting adults do in the bedroom, right?
But now:
- You got CEO of Disney saying that 50% of all Disney movie characters need to represent LGBTQI*#~. Other then “teaching” young prepubescent children about “sexual identity” is that 50% even realistic?
- You have not a day. Not a week. But entire month to celebrate “pride”.
- Gay identity is used a token of value for job hiring and political representation. Pete Buttigieg has absolutely zero qualifications to be the head of the department of transportation (and it shows). But he’s special since he’s gay though. Very special.
- If a celebrity or athlete chooses not to wear a pride night jersey (Ivan Provolov) because of spiritual beliefs he’s automatically a so horrible and cruel and vicious homophobe. Not because he ever said or did anything. No it’s because he declined to participate in what you fucking people try to go around FORCING other people to do.
So I call bullshit on your assumption that straight guys in mass go around acting homophobic and discriminatory towards gay people every day. The vast majority of just want to keep to ourselves. You do your thing and I’ll do mine.
But that’s not enough for you people now. For the longest time you complained about society forcing you to conform. Now you think it’s okay trying to go around forcing other people to openly support and conform to your ideology.

Wrong.
There are currently 25 states in the US that limit gay marriage. Seriously look it up before you try to speak facts.

@TJ1892 how do you think they feel when straight people lynched and murdered them?
Heaven forbid they tied you to a tree? Not a tree!! Anything but a tree!! - +1 y
Well yes it was kind of annoying to be tied up because I told a couple who were playing music obnoxiously loud , and smoking like chimneys. 🤢 Yet resorted to tying me to a tree because because I pushed him and the pair of them coudnt handle being out spoken and out whitted by the little orange gay guy.

No gay guy ever call a straight guy straight and started laughing when they make out with a girl in the hall way at school. it they did the guy be like who care she hot. But if someone said they to straight guy that be afraid of being called gay. any way if you are gay who care. other guy are just trying say that to make other straight guy feel bad. most guy do not understand what gay men are that why they fine it weirdo. why do gay men have strange voice I don't know I fine it weirdo. . I am ok with it. I think the media (like movie put gay people in there it) like they push it to had just say look we have gay people in the movie gay people agree with me on that. the media need stop pushing people who are not gay to try be gay. also some gay people need take a joke better like jokes are ok some gay people are ok with jokes

Because the homos are advertising their fetishes to everyone, and no one gives a fxck
and tbh, it only matters when someone straight would be trying to find an “original model” of the opposite sex and they encounter a replica.. and that replica hides their originating genitalia or genitalia identity to that other person until something much later. I thankfully never had to encounter something as shxtty as that, but if I did, I’d punch somebody for sure and call it defense
because in my defense no one should be lied to. Not even in “serious lgbtq relationships.”
Anyways I knew people who identified as that and I just left them be. Thankfully they didn’t bother me.
I don’t mind them kissing walls. I will be HIGHLY HIGHLY BOTHERED if they make moves on me.
They can ask… and I’ll say no..

@John_Doesnt well I wouldn't call it straight sexual propaganda. The thing is that straight people are the majority by far so I'm assuming what your calling propaganda is things on TV (Films, shows, advertisements, etc) but in reality they're just catering to the majority because that's how you make something more successful.
Also I didn't say gayness was being shoved down anyone's throat. Personally I'm not interested in it so I don't pay any attention to it and as of right now it has pretty much zero impact on my life. - +1 y

+1 yStraight men I've know who had a problem, stated the main reason is
The whole coming out thing
They claim that they come out, to be accepted but straight people don't come out as straight, that is strictly a LGBT thing. They don't CARE if someone is that, they just don't need to co me out.
They got hit on by a gay man and that makes them think others think they are gay and it really ticks them off, that some other guy thought they were gay and hit on them.
That's what they've told me when I say, why you hating so much.

Gay men often say people who are obsessed or theathen by homosexuals and LGBT are probably gay themselves in denial.
I personally think there's some truth to that.
I however am not threaten by LGBT, I just think it's disgusting and unnatural sexual desires.
Moreover, the LGBT has become to damn demanding on having things their way and often trying to target little kids with homosexual propaganda and to me that's 100% unacceptable.

+1 yMen have always been perturbed by effeminate/ gay men, it's not social programming. There is a certain way men expect other men to act, there are understandings among us, and when someone doesn't follow those universal parallels they face social repercussions.
When I was a kid we played smear the queer, barely knowing what a gay person was (if at all), but we just knew that it wasn't something that sat well with us. We weren't insecure, it's just gross to us.
Furthermore, the rainbow mafia is all powerful now across media, and is promoted by nearly every big brand that I hardly believe they have social conditioning against them- if people still feel the same way despite the constant bombardment of fags on TV/ social media, then there is something intrinsic about the disgust.

What I mean as related LG part, is “dudes look at your parts as nothing fits together as One ☝️ in communion”whether practically or theoretically.
And within that design ladies and men, Purpose, Form, and Function are without application as Union is purposefully defined as natural Reproduction, spread, and take dominion over the earth.

+1 yI don't think the majority of straight guys are 'threatened'. I am not speaking for the backward hicks down the in deep south of course. I am all for people doing their own thing as long as it isn't being pushed on me, whatever that "thing" is.
The only issue I have is that every single show on TV and every movie now has to have the mixed couple, the gay guy, the lesbian, etc. So you are taking a small portion of the total population, and putting it into everything. All of that doesn't need to be in every freaking show. Make it equal to the percentage of the population.

I am tired of it being shoved down our throats. Most TV shows have gay and lesbian couples, but half those show have married people sleeping around, getting g divorce or they are just single heterosexual. It starts being an attack on majority of the population.
I get it they are trying to show younger people they aren't alone. The problem is when their is a movie or TV show, they ask where is the LGBT person, or why didn't they lick an LGBT person. That is my problem with it.04 Reply- +1 y

Some people will alway be ass hole. Doesn't matter if they are straight, gay lesbian, white, black Asian, or mexican. If i dont like someone, it is because of their character and how they act amd treat people. Not because of their sexual actions. How you choose to be and do is fine. People need to respect each other. No one will like every body. I deal with people I don't like all the time. I'm courteous to them.
+1 yI don’t dislike LBGTQ people. In fact I’ve worked with a couple of gay men who are cool people. I just dislike how LBGTQ culture is constantly shoved down our throats. Every day I read emails with that acronym in it from our diversity equity and inclusion department. I don’t care about anyone’s sexual orientation, and frankly it shouldn’t be a topic in the workplace. I’m not telling everyone how straight I am, or that I’m proud that I like women, because that’s incredibly dumb. We should accept everyone for who they are, and move on with our lives, and not stay fixated on the idea of LBGTQ and how it needs to be praised.
10 ReplyI've met and been friends with a number of gay men, and had no issue, including when they've flirted with me either playfully or before they realized I'm as straight as they come.
Those that identify with the LGBT community however, those that i have come across are ideological weirdos that don't seem to understand boundaries or privacy. The last LGBT march i saw online included a selection of gay men wearing BDSM gear in public; gimps suits with dog masks and collars, etc, in full view of children. That is too far, and not civil. In the modern age no one expects you to stay in the closet, yet they least expect you to keep some degree of privacy and keep it in the bedroom like everyone else does.
Do you understand that? It's not gay men people have a problem with, it's just people like you that don't see the issue.00 Reply- 1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yNot threatened, grossed out and offended. I don't care what you do in private, that's your business. But keep your sexuality to yourself. I don't want to hear about it.
I think a lot of the animosity towards this community is the fault of the community itself. All the in your face sexually explicit demonstrations, parades and activism is crass, disrespectful and leads to the opposite effect that it claims to support... that is tolerance.
The ones you should aim your anger at are those people who do these things, not the people who are rightfully offended by it.
00 Reply Because they're not straight and they have their own sexual attractions to other men but they're ashamed of that. And that shame comes from their environment. I know of only one thing that can make you ashamed of who you are and that's religion. Religion is the most homophobic thing in existence and it can make you ashamed and even guilty for who you are. Let's don't forget what this "saint" has said:

I'm pretty sure he would have said the same thing about LGBT people.

03 Reply- +1 y
Most straight men aren't going to go out of their way to attack or insult someone that has done nothing to them. What will happen is said gay person will be being an asshole or rude, so the straight guy will call him a fag, or gay, or whatever he thinks will hurt this person's feelings.

When I worked as a waiter the amount of homophobic slurs I'd get and patronising tones was honestly relentless and tiresome. I once had a beer thrown at My direction for asking someone to "grow up and remember I'll be loud and proud if I wanna be, I'd be more worried about that bald head" 🤣🤣👌
+1 yBecause we're tired of having your sexuality and personal preferences constantly rubbed on our faces.

+1 ySeems to me..
Straight guys are thinking about their current or future offspring, and feel that acceptance means conformity, and that conformity would only put their child at increased risk of indoctrination during stages of child development where they are vulnerable. If the dad is straight, he can't conceive of that lifestyle and is protecting his offspring from it, at least that's my guess on what is a common point of view among straight men.
Just a thought.

Because of deeply conservative straight men you have never known what it is like to live in a world where being gay is a crime.
Rest assured that everyone with a tan is getting comments, you could even go as far as to say that getting comments is the reason for getting a tan.
People with funny voices get comments.

Right so being reffered to as "Wotsit" and "Fanta" is nothing to Do with being gay? 🙈 I've got a feeling they'd not say that to a straight guy. But to the little loud guy who is not afraid to stand his ground and speak his mind it's "a laugh" and yes my voice has everything to do with also👌
Opinion Owner+1 yWell as I have never heard anyone being called that before I can't be certain what they mean but the common factor is a reference to the colour orange which is how people describe fake tan so no I don't personally see any kind of reference to sexuality here.
What would certainly not make sense would be calling someone a Wotsit and Fanta if they were not orange.
I suppose Fanta could be some sort of reference to a Nazi but that doesn't make any sense here though it does make a hell of a lot more sense than meaning homosexual, I have no idea how you are making this connection or what you are basing it on.
Now, it is still entirely possible that you are being targetted because you are gay but I really don't see any gay slurs being used here, so there is no evidence to support that argument.
So let me tell you what needs to change here; YOU need to stop playing 'the gay card', you are not being oppressed because of your sexuality you are being mocked because you choose to be orange.
The laugh is an unfortunate reality which you can either own or be a victim of, but no one likes victims.
Opinion Owner+1 yOh fuck you.

You don't even need to stain yourself orange and you are doing that on top and you can't even work out what the problem is even after it has been explained to you.

This is the exact problem right here! Your go to response when reasoned with and when someones view dosent stack up to the one you withold you go on a verbal rampage 🤣🤣🤣 why is that? Yes im orange and proud 🤣🤣🤣🤣I can provide a good couple of examples of the initial question and the likes of your response to it in the last few months alone 👌a couple of months ago i was chilling in my local woodland trail, when i was overcome with smoke, lgbt slurs, and music playing out! on a lovely country quiet trail, looking at the hills and told a couple early 20s who were smoking like chimneys having a "picnic" nearby who were also using LGBT/Homophopic slurs when I confronted them I simply said "I don't want to inherit any damage from your smoke, and also its 2022" 👌 I then pulled them apart on their ignorance and rudeness and floored logic and they ended up tying me to a tree and carrying on anyway, turned there music up before driving off 🙈So no it's down to their and your own ignorance and inability to lose and argument to a proud and happy 5ft6orange🟠😁

Broad generalization that seems to be more subjective than objective. I think if you’re speaking about the US, gay people can get married legally. So compare that to 40 years ago, not sure if it’s a threat as much as steps towards reversing outdated views. If you’re talking about countries in Africa or the Middle East then yea maybe it’s more because of religion.

Apparently you never learned to stand up for yourself or take responsibility for your situation. You lack autonomy. You probably had a rough childhood... Maybe you didn't have a male role model in your life. Truth is, the world is filled with conflict and either you step up and learn to deal with it or people step on you. People are always being mean to each other and fighting. When someone yells give me your wallet cracker and takes a swing at me, I don't say to myself OMG why do they hate me. It must be because I like going balls deep in pussy. No, the light switch flips and I fight. It's as simple as that. Everyone gets in conflicts. You just live in a deluded reality and try to pass the buck and play the victim.
- +1 y
You refuse to admit you're wrong because you have an incredibly fragile ego. What you are doing is experiencing cognitive dissonance. You believed all this time it was the straight men that were afraid because that was the narrative line of your culture and then all the sudden you're facing reality which contradicts your belief system.
- +1 y
The general behavior of your culture is to project your insecurities and fears onto others as a defense mechanism. To behave passive aggressively like a girl. But this will land you in hot water with straight men. Why? Because you're flat out making up lies about them. If you lie to men's face about them, they will usually give you a chance to check yourself, but if you keep your bullshit up especially if you call them scared or say they have a phobia (fear of something) they will take it as a challenge and at best they're going to beat you into the pavement and at worst they might put a bullet in your dome. Then you'll go cry about gay bashing and being hated, when in reality you challenged them to a fight and just lost. You obviously never had a male role model, because you would have learn that. There is a proper decorum when dealing with men...
- +1 y
You feel like your exploding with anger and you don't even know me 🙈😂I'm a very feisty character trust me you learn to be when your my way.. How am I making up lies about men when I'm talking about my own personal experiences? 👌Morons a lot the time who get really worked up because I have a feminine voice 🙈🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Imagine.
- +1 y
There you go again projecting your emotions onto men. You got angry that I pointed out your bullshit so your knee jerk reaction was to call me angry. I can smell the fear. Anyone who was bullying you would as well, that's why you get yourself into so much trouble all the time. You're offended by your own gayness. If some guy had a bad attitude with you, and called you a faggot you'd get offended and start with your Dr. Phil bullshit and homophobia nonsense acting all passive aggressive thinking it's cute. In reality, you are a faggot, so you shouldn't be offended by that at all, but you hate yourself. If a gay person came up to me with an attitude and said you're straight, I'd be like hell yeah with a smile on my face! Bet if you do that about being called gay, the dude will just walk away awkwardly. If a straight guy came up to me and called me a faggot, I'd be like man I'm straighter than the pole your mom dances on. I was at the club the other night and that bitch sure will shake her ass for a crisp one dollar bill. You start calling people afraid and homophobic though they're going to split your wig.

You meddle in other people's business. People are free to smoke if they want to smoke. You thought you were in control of them. You thought you were special and privledged. You tried to boss them around like a tyrant. So they took away your control over yourself by tying you up and then making fun of you. You hating yourself, you blamed it on being gay and having a feminine voice. In reality it was because you were messing around where you shouldn't have been messing... That's basic street smarts. If you didn't want to smell the smoke, then you should of left. Instead you acted like a 40 year old feminist and get beat up and made fun of. You're just dumb. You deserve everything that happens to you. You instigate fights thinking you're dealing with some catty girls and things go wrong for you. You have no common sense, and absolutely no people skills. What you didn't wasn't stand up for yourself. What you did is instigate a fight. At every turn that's what you do, and then play the victim. You don't seem to know the difference. You probably have an antisocial personality disorder.
- +1 y
Why should I have to leave when I was there first? Also why should I have to enhale smoke 🤢 When I don't want too? It's toxic. How did I instigate a "fight" I pushed him as I went to walk off after being insulted and ridiculed and I WAS NOT BEATEN up there wasn't a mark on me, I just got pinned to the tree. I definitely did stand up for myself
- +1 y
You don't have to leave. You can stay and deal with other people as a compromise, or you can move to an area where the air is pristine to your liking and you're all by yourself because that's what you seem to want. You instigated a fight by trying to control people's behavior like a little tyrant. They are free men. If they want to smoke, they're going to smoke. They don't live in your prison. You're not the warden. You don't get to control them and tell them how to live. As a result they took your sense of control away from you to teach you a lesson. It's obviously a lesson you failed to learn. Next time the person you try to boss around might not be that nice to you. That's OK though, people like you have to learn the hard way. You might get beat up 20 or 30 times before you learn. You might get arrested a dozen times for disorderly conduct or drunk in public when you pick fights with people in bars or clubs. Or if you're in the wrong neighborhood you might get shot in the face and left on the corner. One way or the other you'll learn.
- +1 y
I wasn't "picking" a fight I was confronting an obnoxious couple (a man and woman) who thought it was arlight to smoke in close proximity to others in a public place👌 They made it about my voice, and petty things NOT me. If they want to smoke THEY CAN GO ELSEWHERE. 💯 What lesson did they teach me exactly? And how did they "take control" away from me🤣🤣🤣Oh yeah they were lovely to me , really tolerable and respectful people, abit like you who for some reason fly off the handle when given your comupence😆More than stood up for myself too.

Laws in relation to cigarettes generally center around manufacturing standards, proper labeling, and not selling them to minors. Apart from that there are a handful of states that ban smoking in restaurants, bars, or certain workplaces. When people are out in the open air, they are well within their rights to smoke as many as they please. In fact, that is where the general public expects smokers to smoke the larger majority of the time.
- +1 y
You've already made it clear that the law doesn't matter. You have a perception, that you are above the law. You exhibit arrogance and a sense of superiority by proclaiming that your wants for comfort are more important than other's rights. You repeatedly violate the rights of others through attempts at intimidation and dishonesty even though you're not very good at it. Your impulsiveness and failure to plan ahead gets you into sticky situations. You persistently lie in attempts to exploit and manipulate others. You fail to consider the negative consequences of your behavior. You have no remorse for your actions. You're hostile and aggressive. You have an unreasonably high sense of self-importance. You feel that you deserve privileges and special treatment. You fantasize about power over others. You look down on people that you feel you are superior to (i. e. smokers, straight men, etc.). That is all antisocial and narcissistic behavior.
- +1 y
No it's all behaviour of a normal rational human being, I'm not in anyway entitled. FYI I'm great at getting into "sticky" situations, and I'm also great at getting out of them with a smile. I don't harm anybody else, it goes against everything I believe upon. Nice try though dude 🥴😁
- +1 y
Yeah you've "figured" out a normal person asking questions on a q and a website oh and answering some along the way 😀 and one you've decided to judge and hurl abuse at despite not knowing. I'd say I'm more "BeMused*" tbh Bemuse.. I've done nothing to you. So if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all.
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yMy problem with those minorities. Is being fueled by your (Not mine) president. If you are not one of the alphabet people. You are not even considered worthy of a job in government! Experience not required!
Other than that. You are who you are. Just don’t ask for above and beyond special treatment.10 ReplyOnly when y'all make it your entire personality, act creepy, and won't leave us alone.
I can't even go on Tinder without seeing you weirdos, I have preferences set only to women. But you weirdos put your gender as female cause you want to prey on and coerce straight men, you're weird.
And keep your sex life out of schools.00 Reply1.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Lol "threatened". You'd do anything to feel powerful. No one is threatened, we're only annoyed to be constantly attacked, demonized, and even our sexuality denied now. All of that by a minority who is attention whoring by oversexualizing themselves everywhere, including to kids, and is a sum of every toxic attitude known to mankind.

+1 yIt’s because it’s a community that doesn’t involve them. When there’s a rise in a community that does involve them they feel defensive of their own culture so they put down on the LGBTQ+ community because they feel that it empowers them.

+1 yWe aren’t threatened. And we shouldn’t be rude. But it’s natural for us to be disgusted by perversion in public. There’s no sense trying to turn that into you something more sympathetic to the cause.

Most people get upset when any minority group tries to act like it's a majority, and LGBTQ+ is a minority.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI’m not threatened. If a straight couple is making out in front of me I wouldn’t like, and same goes for a gay couple. I just feel like the LGBTQ+ views are shoved down people’s throats. I’m not enforcing my religious beliefs on you so i don’t feel like lgbtq+ views should be enforced in school or especially to kids.

How do you expect to solve stereotypes and prejudice by using stereotypes and prejudice in your question?

I confronted a man and woman about early to mid 20s in the summer on a lovely country quiet trail, looking at the hills and told a couple who were smoking like chimneys having a "picnic" nearby who were also using LGBT/Homophopic slurs when I confronted them I simply said "I don't want to inherit any damage from your smoke, and also its 2022" 👌 I then pulled them on their ignorance and floored logic and they ended up tying me to a tree and carrying on anyway.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI am a straight guy. I do not have any problem with LGBT people, everyone has the right to express themselves and I support that. However, I don't have very good memories of gay guys. I have been kinda sexually assaulted by gay guys two times in my life, last year in an ally one gay guy groped me. The problem is when you are a straight guy no one takes this situation seriously and tells you to get over it.
