Can Americans visit Moscow? Not that much of a fan of the country like if I see poor people in Russia I will probably laugh. I just want to experience Moscow.

Go to St Petersburg instead. There's nothing in Moscow except for St Basil's and Red Square. Petersburg is also much more friendly.

Im sure you *can* go to Russia right now, but I don't think the timing is very good, and I bet a lot of college study abroad programs in Moscow have probably been canceled.

Russia is currently on a Level 4, DO NOT TRAVEL advisory for US Citizens. US credit cards and bank cards do not work in Russia. You'd have to be a complete idiot to go there now. However, there IS a special rate available for trumpers.

It's safer for US citizens to even go to hell these days than to go to Russia. Also, be brave, do as you say and laugh at the first poor Russian you see. I guarantee they will bury you in such a snow that you will have to wait until summer for someone to find you
