The US wants to use the Espionage Act against Julian Assange but won't prosecute Donald Trump?

Some of that just comes from who the people in question are, but most of it comes from what we know each person did. Julian used secret information for his personal commercial gain, while Trump's case is a lot less clear-cut. For one thing, Trump (to my knowledge) hasn't sold his information, while Julian did.

Prosecuting Trump for his document situation, while the Biden stuff is going on, would look suuuuper bad. And especially when Biden's think tank at U Penn has also been recieving tens of millions of dollars in donation money from the Chinese... it's not proof of anything nefarious, of course, but it just looks bad.

it was not, but even if it had been that does not justify what has been done to him and what will be done. All he did was expose the war crimes of the US government.

Hmm... yeah... Julian definitely doesn't have the protection he should. Meanwhile, we also can't/don't/refuse to whack Snowden; who I consider to be a genuine patriot.

It's almost like our government's interests have drifted so far away from the interests of the people that it has become impossible to reconcile the two.

who knows, governments use power to destroy whomever threatens them... even when they are being criminal liars themselves.

The scary part is it goes to show how much $ you have to have to be in power now becuase you will be attacked if you challenge the corrupt system and you'll need a lot of lawyers.

No US president has ever been jailed. It sets a precedent that could see Biden, Obama, clinton and GW Bush jailed.
Julian Assange is being targeted to set an example. Everything possible is being done to discredit him including false rape allegations.
