Is anyone else pissed they shot the Chinese balloon in the Carolinas?

As a North Carolinian, I have to say I'm rather pissed that Joe Biden chose our oceans to shoot down a weather balloon. Of course, I get rather pissed when the feds do anything down here because we all know how that goes. Thankfully those idiots didn't destroy any of our property like during the War of Northern Aggression in 1861.

The Carolinas have some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Beaches with actual white sand that you can lay on. Some parts that look the same as they did thousands of years ago, because we respect our beaches.

And -- hello -- what about the marine life? Sea turtles and tiger sharks don't vote for Democrats, so to hell with them? Your jets wouldn't have even been flying in the first place if it weren't for the Wright Brothers flying the first plane on a North Carolina Beach, with no harm to any animals done.

I say next time, we shoot that Chinese crap down right over California and then we don't have to worry about a bunch of libtards voting for that idiot again.

So your ignorant opinion is to compare our tech capabilities from an examples in 1861 to 2023 and offer a solution that could have hurt people and their property in a blue state because you don't value liberal ideals? I don't know what else would have been safer honestly because I'm not a military expert, and I do value our oceans and wildlife. Just to be clear I also hope the job was done as safely as possible and not harmed any wildlife. I'm more curious as to if you have a real opinion on an alternative solution that would have been better without potentially harming any people or their properties. Some of the most beautiful beaches in the world were in NY actually. I think people assume NY is just Manhattan. Manhattan is amazing if you're a city person otherwise it's not then lol. Upstate NY is absolutely beautiful. Too bad stereotypes rule here

@lightbulb27 Long island beaches are considered some of the top in the country. One beach in particular sticks out in my head that was at one point #1 in the world. Cooper's beach. Use the googles and check out top beaches. It's always one of the top beaches. It's just a bad stereotype that we're a trash capital.

Some beaches on long island are very populated maybe that's what you're thinking of but there are so many others that aren't so busy. They're absolutely beautiful. Again we've been ranked some of the best in the world for a reason. This is a good example to express how one or a few of experiences don't tell the whole story of every beach here.
