Of course we are 99% of these mass shooting situations could have been avoided if the COP HAD DONE THERE JOBS we have red flag laws for a reason every one of these shooters had a record of mental illness and were posting of social media they were going to kill the only one we knew nothing about was the Vegas shooter. Uvalde could’ve been prevented the same with the Florida shooter Nick Cruz.

by the way have you notice as social media rises the more shooters we have? We know social media like Facebook Twitter Instagram is causing suicidal ideations in teenage girls. We know it has an effect on boys but no one has studied why. Maybe this is the result of letting minors on social media,

Yeah…but cops aren’t really incentivized to enforce those red flags and more incentivized to get quotas or traffic violations.

In the case of Nick Cruz they were too busy investigating trump which would lead to nothing.
Uvalde, the guy was shooting outside a nursing home and shot his grandmother who had called to police. The cops had 45 minutes to get the guy before the shooting. Then they waited outside the classroom letting kids get killed.

The guy who drove his car through a Christmas parade was a black supremacist with multiple convictions there are more cases like this.

Some of them should be armed X military teachers for example. If an attacker knew there were armed guards or teachers they won’t shoot up the school. We protect our money more then we protect children there’s definitely something wrong with that. You don’t hear about many bank robbers nowadays because every single bank has an armed guard which deters people from robbing the bank.

Everyone is tired of the mass shootings And this problem is specific to American republicans because They are terrible parents they don't have responsibility they have zero responsibility around Their guns they do not Parent their children, And they encourage their children to kill others For making fun of them.

And we're about to get the territory Where democrats start taking out republicans fairly.

Tbh I’m waiting for it to happen in my vicinity so I can show others how to handle it. I’m fully prepared.

It’s not something I can just share. It has to be modeled out and others will either choose to follow or not.

I also have ideas on how they can really get this under control- for school shootings it can and certainly the whole situation can be contained- we all should have healthy awareness of what’s being transferred in and out of places and the types of people around us.

Well gun sellers should know what they sell and to WHOM. Yeah right to bear arms, but does it apply to mentally challenged?

Police should be aware of the guns coming in and out of the country.

People should be aware of anyone mental around them, or anyone who carries.

Yeah, it’s for defense but it should be obvious somehow, who carries or at least obvious at security checkpoints into buildings.

      Stuff along these lines.

Also certain buildings should just HAVE security checkpoints because they get targeted a lot.

While there ARE incidents featuring OTHER weaponry,
the MAJORITY of guns used... were procured by their previous Owner's complicit apathetic negligence.
GUNS are 'power tools'; they IMPART the 'power' to END or CRIPPLE LIFE!

Said prior Owners SHOULD be criminally charged as 'accessories before the act' and civilly 'liable'. Laws and gun locks & safes are only 'affective' if routinely applied.
If THAT is too much work, YOU are not 'responsible enough' to HAVE access to one!

Just as 'true' as "EVERY gun IS presumed 'loaded' until YOU PERSONALLY confirm it to be unloaded".

Sure, but there’s no better metric than math. Violence in other nations without guns…leads to a few deaths per year. Whereas we have 30,000 gun deaths per year. I’m not joking, the entire continent of Europe has maybe 200 murders a year.

We need to decrease the access “deranged murderers” have to guns. Gun buyback worked in Australia. Not a mass shooting since.

Then you should clearly vote for anyone who wants the border cleaned up and limit the amount of undocumented citizens so they can't come here and smuggle in weapons anymore. I guarantee most of these mass shootings that are so random aren't registered guns or weapons.

You think there's a net *import* of guns to the USA? Are you nuts? Most of them go the other way. And I'd love to see you look up the facts about whether guns used in random mass shootings are legally owned or not. Bet you a dollar most were legal.

@goaded it's actually a lot stricter these days to even buy a gun I'll admit before 2018 most mass shootings legal purchased firearms but today I highly doubt someone whose been 5150'd is passing the FBI Background and being given a gun especially since today we have a big mass of illegals coming in taking advantage of Biden's failure to secure the border & bringing in guns & weapons & drugs, that have been killing Americans more & more.

MSU mass shooting: legally purchased, but not registered

Half Moon Bay shooting: legally owned his gun (but was a targeted attack, not a random one)

Monterey Park: Probably bought before the assault weapons ban, and the law allowing the state to confiscate large capacity magazines has been blocked by a federal judge. He did make his own illegal suppressor.

I only went back a month. I probably missed a few. Mexicans import weapons from the US, not the other way around.

While we're at it, guess whose states have the highest murder rates?

The borders of Illinois and Michigan? Guns are not coming in from Canada, I'm sure of that!

Illinois has a lower murder rate than Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Arkansas, South Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee. After Illinois comes Maryland, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New Mexico before you get to Michigan.

If you're talking about the Mexican border, guns go south, drugs come north, but it's not necessarily foreigners bringing them.

How much would you charge to carry 15kg of deadly drugs into the US? ↗

Ah, you don't see a difference between states and cities. Got it. Chicago is 14th worst US city. Detroit is #3, after St. Louis and Baltimore. No, the guns aren't legal in those cities, but they were probably legal in the states they were bought in. You don't have border controls between states, do you?

Still neither the worst murder cities. St. Louis, Baltimore, and Birmingham are worse than Detroit. Nine or ten more are worse than Chicago. New York city doesn't even make it into the worst 65 major US cities.

Or are you restricting your "search" to state capital cities to avoid the fact that many Republican cities and states have higher murder rates? Why?

You blame the tools when it is the people using the tools who are the problem.

Take away guns and you will get acid attacks instead along with the government being emboldened by a disarmed citizenry.

No, it's more popular now. Also, Republicans let the assault weapons (and large capacity magazine) ban lapse in 2004. That's what having a sunset clause in a law does. Which is why they want one for welfare laws.
