Are fat women less likely to be harassed by men?

I always hear about women being scared of men and always keeping their guard up. I have been obese for years and I’ve NEVER felt uncomfortable, unsafe or scared around men. I have never been harassed, catcalled, etc. I walk regularly at night, in/out of parking lots, pass men regularly, etc. It’s hard for me to understand where women are coming from and I think it’s because I’m obese.

Previous obese woman here: I can confirm I wasn't not harassed, catcalled, hit on, or picked on by men when I was larger. However, they still don't approach me even though I'm now in shape- meaning it could be my personality, or they just don't deem me as attractive.

That's not to say it doesn't happen, but let's be real: guys aren't going to pursue someone they're not attracted to (yes, I know the same goes for women, but I'm discussing this topic from a female perspective). Now that's not to say that's the reason men don't bother you: you could just be lucky, or you might give off an aura of, "Don't bother me," and men feel intimidated to approach or talk to you.

Honestly, don't stress over it. Be VERY glad you live in an area where you can safely walk out without worrying about being harassed or bothered.

Would you hit on a man who was unattractive? No. Same with the guys who never hit on you when you were obese. There are other reasons, but your look is the first thing a person notices.

i've met and dealt with some chubby women and obese women who were massive cunts. it wasn't their looks that made them ugly it was their personality that did.

i can think of a lot of obese and chubby women who completely blew their chances with me not because of what they looked like but because of their god awful personality
