White women have been held up as the standard of beauty by society for a very long time. Don’t get me wrong, everyone is free to love whoever they choose. However, you have to examine yourself and discern whether you feel the way you do because it was spoon fed to you or do you really have a natural attraction.

I can’t speak to that I’m a white guy with a preference for darker skin (so my game changes with national race relations which is frustrating to say the least). My ex of two and a half years was black and even after we broke up over distance we still sometimes catch up with each other. I say that because I was certainly exposed to more white beauty than you…I’m literally a white person. Personal preference is to the individual, you either own it or you don’t. Be ashamed of it and blame society if you want to but I think you’re missing something if you do.
It’s also worth noting that today there’s a plethora of attractive black women in media proportional to population black women are represented more in media than they are in actual demographics. They’ve made a decent splash in the last few year. Like yeah there’s going to be a shit load of white people in American media, probably a majority. That’s because a majority of the market relates to them on account of being white. I lived in Africa briefly and everything was black because guess what the market they wanted to relate to was?
Im just saying that if you like lighter skin then just like lighter skin. Stop overthinking it.
Not all Europeans, American African, Asian, Latinos are the same. We all have preferences.
know what you want from the outside and the inside. If you want kids… this advice will be beneficial for you to raise your future kids. Other than that… what other people say will not matter.
I am of Asian decadent living in America. I married someone who is of American Jewish background. We share a lot of the same value. Even after our divorce, we still raise our kids with 99% similar value/style. my second husband is American Italian. In some ways I know some things that Italians that he didn’t know. At the end, again, we share similar value with how to raise these kids.

I actually had a discussion about not liking using black to describe a human race. I am Asian but it gets me really upset that everyone has been brain washed to call everyone black. as far as my simple mind thinks.. black is a color. It should not be calling someone by a color.

I am Native American and I find black women very attractive, and yet I grew up similar to you watching the same predominantly white TV shows, because that is all that was available to me.
