In America women aren’t oppressed. We’re actually too entitled and praised by horny simps with no muscle.
The only oppression we experience is sometimes the pay. Some companies rather have a male figure be leader or take a leader role instead of a female. Little sexist shT of that sort. A man is still congratulated if he’s sleeping with girls left and right. But a woman does the same with several handsome men, and she’s outcasted, called every name in the book. So YES, there IS some type of oppression still happening but it’s not obvious. It’s kind of low-key. If you’re a woman you have to lie about your body count and such.. You have to act Innocent.
If you’re a woman and you’re sleeping around with attractive men, and just being young. Make it secret and take it to your grave. No one needs to know.
If women aren’t good enough to be police or firefighter or military. OK FINE. MAKES SENSE. Women don’t have the physical strength for that. ITS TRUE. But then.. even if we want a desk job. We still find ourselves competing with another male.
I think both genders are oppressed, but not by each other. I mean, you touch on something with the pay. Like how back in the days men teachers use to mostly be men and then they put women in that job because they thought it was an easy job that women can do and lowered their pay. The pay they get is still dog shit.
And those schools are poorly funded and like prisons for kids. I think they just set up men and women to fail, so we can blame each other rather than stand up for each other.

According to studies they say women get paid 80 cents to every dollar a man makes. Maybe now it's even more since that study was done a while back.
I think it more or less relates to women from Middle Eastern countries though, as from the looks of it, and from what I have observed, women have done a TREMENDOUS and WONDERFUL job at catching the fuck up! 👍
With that said though, I don't know if I still believe women are oppressed. Do to the complaints made by our "mothers" and those generations before us (Women's suffrage Marches, Feminism movements), we've done a GREAT job at Equalizing the field and getting Maternity Leaves that are FAIR and labor laws that are equal. I feel there is MORe disparages between races really, than there are between the sexes. In fact, it's blurred already because of the introduction of protection of gay rights! ... Hell, it's even the MINORITIES sometimes having more rights than the majority. It's an interesting time. It definitely is!
I think it means, they are treated as second rate citizens whether it be financially or in everyday life by men who seem to control the purse strings.
The whole, women should stay at home and raise children attitude as opposed to letting them be free like anyone else to live their lives according to their goals and chosen lifestyle and be treated fairly in all aspects, whether it is the same pay for exact same job another guy is doing, etc.
You see it in society all the time, a woman who sleeps around is considered a slut , yet a guy does it, and he's considered a stud. That's oppression, views that constantly try to negatively label women when they are either ambitious at work or in their personal lifestyle. You also see it in business all the time, a woman becomes very successful and the men at the same firm try to put a lid on her by appealing to upper management (often comprised of men) to place the proverbial controlling thumb on her to keep her in place.
TBH - I would be pissed if someone did that to me...

Certain political powers always need some cause to rail against. After the Civil Rights movement in the 60's ended they needed some new cause to always "fight" to get votes and to get political power.
Women are treated like royalty. Hell, that awful candidate Hillary lost the election because no one likes her and she immediately brings up the red herring sexism and misogyny is why she lost. No proof mind you but if something doesn't go a woman's way... it has to be sexism.
Women aren't oppressed, if anything guys are more oppressed, even if the start drafting females, men will be the majority draft. Who do courts side with on a greater percentage, females. Who goes to jail if they miss child support payments, men. Who gets a heavier sentence for the exact same crime, men. Female businesses are exempt from having to be inclusive, even when law states it is illegal for all businesses to discriminate against and exclude for any reason, however there are female only gyms, shelters, girl guides, any safe space needed for just females, there is none of that for men, not even safe spaces, hell even the boy scouts are no longer boy scouts because they have to include females. During disasters or rescue events who is always chosen first, females. Most workplace deaths or injuries are male. Most homicide victims are male. Most people put in jail for any crime even small petty ones are male. Most suicides are male. Females are innocent until proven guilty where as a guy is guilty even when proved innocent, what I mean by that is once a guy is falsely convicted his life is ruined even when proven innocent because people will always see the false conviction as for a female her sentence is always a slap on the wrist compared to what a guy will get.
I don't know but life doesn't seem as oppressed for a female as it is for a man.
For me at least, it's that I'm expected to be fine with labeling like 'birthing person,' 'bleeder' and 'chest feeder,' but any guy who decides to be a woman is celebrated for calling himself a 'real woman.' And if I have a problem with that, or even want to question it, then apparently I'm a transphobe.
Saying you feel societally oppressed doesn't always mean you're saying men are oppressing you. Right now it feels more like the people who call themselves 'feminists' are the ones who are oppressing women.
Definitely. But ultimately feminists are the most misogynist because they hate what real femininity is and hate women who want to be a woman. Feminists are practically Catholic inquisitors. Men don’t actually hate women, they just hate certain kinds of women, but not because they're women.

@ManOnFire Yeah, I was agreeing with you. I just find it so annoying that the people who supposedly want women to be able to be however we want, whether that's carrier or family-oriented, or something in between, now bash on girls who work from home or don't work at all, or get married young.
You are not expected to be okay with these terms 💀 they're literally just terms for talking about people who have done these things in general. You would not be referred to these as an individual person unless you wanted to be. Some men are right, some women are just looking to be oppressed and this comment is a perfect example.
@Razp_Sorbet I don't consider myself oppressed at all, as long as I don't look online. Luckily enough the majority of this stuff isn't being pressed on you in your average day-to-day life, and you can say you're just a woman without someone getting butt-hurt. But the fact that these terms exist is ridiculous, and people should be able to point that out or at least discuss it without being verbally pummeled.
They exist because surrogacy exists, non binary people exist, trans men exist. Just because you don't agree with certain things doesn't mean they don't exist.

I mean just look at Iran for example. A woman has no rights there, no right to speak up or be heard and now they're fighting for freedom and getting murdered for wearing their headthing little off smh

Women aren’t oppressed by men before and never had never will. Women are oppressed by government and trans gay etc all this crap that asks what’s a real women? What’s a uterus? This are oppressing women. Not a men with a dick. In fact they always tired hard to help women. They used to work long hours and fight for us so families are safe. But what I described above killed us both women and men. A Chinese kid is raised like a proper men or a women better than western kids. We have to be ashamed of ourselves we let things go this bad. We can’t even go back as before.

My sister once explained to me that it's not so much that she feels oppressed, as it is that she feels like people are walking on eggshells around her because she's a woman.

When western women say it, it's just whining about wanting special treatment. Women in other countries have a legitimate case to say they need equal rights. Women in Islamic majority countries definitely are oppressed and women in many Asian countries are definitely oppressed. But women in America, Canada, Britain and other first world countries are just whining and don't appreciate what they have.
In the west it means they're a winy little bitch in other parts of the world I would think it's quite obvious it's just unfortunate that a woman in London thinks she is in the same boat as a woman in Baghdad but that's what entitlement will do to a person and don't blame us we are merely existing in a world older generations left us 🤣
I specifically mean by that in terms of on the job, even though women are allowed to work now in the workforce, they still have to develop thick skin to the fact that they get criticized more often and more severely than their male colleagues.

They mean they have no concept of world perspective. In many non western countries a woman's value and opinion is just step above housecat. I'm not saying women have complete equality here (paid 70% what a man is on the avg.). But you have to admit at least she's not going to get her head cut off here or stoned to death for saying she's oppressed.

Opressed is a very subjective term, especially in today's vernacular.
Opressed originally meant something along the lines of enslaved or otherwise under draconian laws with ridiculously harsh punishments.
Nowadays it could mean anything like random people being mean to you or being denied things like promotions without any explanation why. It could also mean the former.
I usually take that word today with a grain of salt.

It usually has to do with things like not getting paid as much being a dental assistant as men who are engineers do, or not being respected as much for their academic achievements in women's studies as men with degrees in chemistry.
