Cost of billions along with millions of lives. How much should we fight with China if we confirm they let Covid escape one of their labs?

Well we’re gonna have to wait for a republican to take office Joe Biden won’t do anything. Now as I said almost 3 years ago at this point when democrats called me a crazy conspiracy theorist for even asking the question did Covid come from a Chinese lab. Now guess what? IT CAME FROM A LAB! Not so much of a crackpot conspiracy after all.

now of course I think we should isolate China from all trade and sent up a blockade around the South China Sea and prevent ships from leaving, Especially since we know they want to attack Taiwan. Frankly china should been seen the same way as we see North Korea, and frankly any Americans who helped in the gain of function research should be in prisoner for life. Preferably they get the same treatment as the Nazis in the nuremberg trial aka execution. Also we should sneak weapon into China and western propaganda so the Chinese people would be encouraged to rebel against their own government. It’s not the people of China’s fault, it’s the leader ship and once your leadership gets this bad. You have the moral obligation to kill everyone in your government or in prison, The Chinese still believes in the Mandate of Heaven you can loose the Mandate of Heaven and the CCP definitely has lost the Mandate of Heaven

The "don't know" option should really be "other". We know COVID came from China. We know they are a threat to Taiwan. The best bet would be a blockade. The Chinese Navy cannot match the U. S. Navy. They technically have more ships, but our Navy has both better ships and better training.

They would have no effective means to stop us. They would be unable to declare war on us without committing international-standing suicide as we would not be in their waters, no matter what they say their border is. We could stop them from shipping goods out of China by way of sea. Couple this with crippling sanctions and China would be hurting for decades.

A combination, sanctions and stop all imports into the US from China, world wide sanctions like what is happening against Russia too, all the allies.

This would hurt but it could also in the long run, help industries to move back to the US or at least closer and safer places like Mexico. The US can become less dependent on chinese child labor and after all it sucks to be dependent on a communist country who hates us.

It would be good for lowering shipping pollution too as world wide shipping is a massive polluter. Climate change people should be happy to get on board with this idea.

The second part is the US to stand up with Allies in the south China sea, Taiwanand others. Place troops, missile and other weaponary there and promise to remove on the condition they reimburse the rest of the world for the damage.

Several Trillion dollars, once payment is received then things can change to the status quo if they do it in a reasonable time.

This way, the US would not be starting a war. It would totally be up to China to decide to attack or not.

It’s funny how social media censored this theory when it first came out during the pandemic despite there being existing evidence it was likely. Like it’s somehow less “racist” to assume a Chinese national consumed a bat in a wet market vs. this being an accident in a research lab.

Western countries kiss Chinese government ass’s for 3 reasons:

1. We are economically dependent on their manufacturing and exports. This is a very sad but somewhat plausible reason. If China cut off exports it would spell disaster for many western industries.

2. We are fearful of their military power. Getting a direct military conflict with China is a dangerous prospect. This is highly unlikely given China needs western trade, relationships and support just as much the we need their manufacturing. But still a direct war with a nation with a very powerful military and nuclear weapons is the true beginning of WW3.

3. Some western leftists actually like and want communism. Pointing out that their government is a brutal communist dictatorship which occasionally makes cataclysmic mistakes because they wanted to “save face” garners up more adversary to communist run systems.

The Chinese government knew about the huge threat covid was in late 2019 and yet didn’t say a peep about it. They could of shut down their country and contained the spread but instead they tried to save face and act like nothing happened. That ended up costing millions of lives and trillions of dollars in economic damage.

And the most pathetic of all excuse not to criticize the Chinese government (not citizens the government) is because that was somehow “racist” which was absolutely ass backward and ridiculous.

Chinese strength is its weakness, numbers. Starge China, you dont need a war. Much like everyone needs the Amazon to breath and the oceans, we need to not be infected from the same part if the world over and over again. International mistakes need international reactions. Other than that, I think everyone is way too critical of China amd that China is way to critical of the world that opened up to it. They choose to limit themselves, because I know for a fact from studies that Made in China produces far greater goods than Wish will ever convey.

Though to say but the reality is that there is nothing that can be done about it. If China is to blame for this event then its just opening another can of worms. What is stopping others from doing the same for other diseases. Going to war won't solve anything because really what is being gained. You can sanction them but the leverage China holds is the cheap export market will cause more damage then the virus itself. You live and move on. Every era has its battles.

We also know our Federal goverment in partly responsible in helping to fund theses reckless experiments.
In both cases the guilty party would have to take responsibility for the mistake.
Beyond that the only option we have is to collectively try and take action against them.
