The NRA is something people usually join AFTER they already own or use guns.

Hollywood does promote guns in a way. This is ironic because Hollywood doesn't allow the NRA to advertise for membership on TV. Yet the screen is plastered with people using guns, in a very unrealistic and unsafe way. The effect is that Hollywood promotes irresponsible and unsafe use of guns, but bans the NRA who promote gun safety and responsible use.

Because neither Hollywood or the NRA sells guns.

So if it's asked that way, Hollywood by far promotes the sale of guns.

Hollywood hates guns, but they love the money they make while glorifying guns.
