Do you think its better to beg for forgiveness or ask for permission?

I would prefer to ask for permission and for others to ask for permission. I forgive but I do not forget and will distance myself from the person who fcked up (when they could’ve simply just asked first)

This question shouldn’t be under sexuality because it can relate to nonsexual things as well

i'm very reasonable but i'm not tolerant. i don't like abusing for example you are helping me with my mental health i don't avuse by making my mental health an excuse to just chill around. whwn i get mad i have that mental note not to get overly mad so when i get super mad that is really what i feel

i have no problem with apologizing but there are times when i just don't wanna apologize because i'm bitter the next i do is tell you what happened

for exqmple you cut my credit card because you wanna teach me to be responsible. let's say i really had a hard time i really struggle let's say without my credit i cannot eat at the mall i just eat on street foods that kind of steuggle because i don't have a credit card and so i was bitter but then i learned to be responsible. that's gonna be hard for me to apologize because i am just so bitter but i will tell you what i learned. if let's say what you do helped me with my mental illness even if i'm bitter because it's hard i will still tell if what you've done helps or not

i think telling what happened is a good technique for prideful people in generql without feeling that you lower down yourself because you just simply said what happened. prideful meaning it's hard for you to say i'm sorry even though you have that feeling that they could be right, that what they're doing even if it cause you to really steuggle they make sense

It depends, at work... asking for permission is ridiculous and gets lost in a black hole and you have to follow up a million times and no one ever gets anything done.

It is easier to just do it, and then if I get caught... ask forgiveness. Most the time I don't get caught though.

In relationships, best to ask permission first and get a fast straight answer.

Some might call me evil because, I will often ask and state, if I don't get an answer by a certain time then I'll assume that means a yes because it is either a immediate no or a I have to think about it, means they might want it to go into a place and never be brought up so they can avoid saying no but I do it in such a way to, you got 24 hours to answer me or I'll assume a yes. If you say no please explain why.

I've had too many cases of asking and he has to think about it and then never answers and it becomes just like work, I have to bug him over and over and over... and that gets annoying asf and damages the relationship.

In most instances, I don't believe in asking for permission. I don't like rules and I distrust authority. So I have a tendency to do what makes sense regardless of the rules.

I know people who believe in hierarchy and revere any authority. They tend to be fawning sycophants. They not only won't break rules, but are hesitant to do anything without permission even if there aren't any rules against it.

But I wouldn't do anything that might make it necessary to beg for forgiveness from an individual. If I accidentally or inadvertently do something to offend someone I respect, I am eager to apologize.

However, there are some people whom I take joy in offending. For example, if I inspire outrage in a woke person or make them cry, I feel like I've done my job.

Personal life, usually talk / discuss a head of time…. not sure permission is the right word as I am an adult and make my own decisions (but can be swayed from discussion).

Work, ask for forgiveness. I am a high performing individual who takes calculated risks. I also have a positive record of success, so I can get some leeway.

In my opinion, it depends on the situation. Sometimes you have to do something in order to help someone, and that someone might not agree. In that situation, it's better to beg for forgiveness later. In any other situation, it's better to ask for permission.

It is better to ask first. However, at work we often do what needs to be done instead of asking first. That is where trust comes in. We are trusted to put the company first which means for us anyway, that we spend their money when needed but as sparingly as possible. Sometimes calls are made in the field because it needs to be made right then. And if we are questioned about it, we explain and ask forgiveness. Until we have to do it again... lol

Personally I'd prefer asking for permission. Sometimes the apology won't do much once the damage is done, no matter how accidental it was or how sincere the apology is. Some scars never heal and I'd prefer doing everything in my power to not inflict such wounds on others.
