How do I handle my mother working in a mental hospital?

My mother who’s nearly 60 is starting a job in a mental hospital, the adult extended stay unit. I’ve been in a mental hospital once, had a PTSD reaction (Witnessed murder more than once.) And it didn’t seem too violent. However, where my mother is, there are assaults nearly every day. The lead straight up said if you work here you WILL be punched, spit on, hair pulled, bit, etc. They actually got security with tasers, handcuffs, etc. On the first day of training, this dude got restrained. He was telling people he’s a famous rockstar, another patient said “no you’re not.” So the “rockstar” got up, punched the other patient in the face, breaking her nose. Now, me, I’m not mr. badass, but I’ve been known to escalate to violence very quickly and with little warning when it involves my mother. Obviously I got no way to protect my mother in there. Unless she quits, I can’t do shit.
