7 people dead. 3 kids, 3 adults, and a female suspect. How much more blood needs to be shed before it stops? Do we need better mental health resources?

Demystify guns in schools, have classes on teaching youth that video games are not accurate/real life and when a person is shot they just don't get up again. Get parents involved, to help spread the word at home, that with guns comes great responsibility and consequences to using a gun at their age. Get parents to reinforce that guns have no place in school from an early age and that guns should not be readily available to their children at home.

Give the teachers de-escalation training, at least if they are put in a position where they have to face a child has a gun, they can talk to them calmly, sensibly and come to peaceful resolution.

In summary, better education on firearms, faculty/staff training and how guns can end lives with real life examples of consequences/implications : how it affects the victims, their family members, how it impacts the shooter's family, how it would impact them if they are the shooter and police view them as a threat, could they do time in jail, how long, what is jail like, what does being a convict/shooter have on their future?

You have to ban social media. Noticed this didn’t really happen prior to social media becoming big. There was 1 in 1982 0 between 1982-2000 there was 1 in 2000 1 in 2007 and it took 10 years before they started happening all the time. Guns have been in society for hundreds of years. There 1 thing that changed since them and that’s the advent of social media. Which has allowed groupthink to fester and grow so now instead of spending time in our local community and getting to know the people around us we get to know the people on social media some very radical. Those radicals make other radical until we have the radical environment we have to day. Get rid of social media you’ll see these shooting decline significantly

@rosemilk Yes it was Columbine is what started the anti bullying campaign (wish it worked because I was bullied massively as a kids). There was also one in 1983 I believe (might have been 1984 it was some where around there). But between the shooting 15 years past. Then it was 8 years between columbine and Virginia Tech 2007 the next one was Sandy Hook in 2012 (there were other small ones that was clearly gang war fair where either 1 person died or no one did). Next major one was Rancho Tehama shootings: in 2017 notice a 5 year difference next one was the Parkland shooting in 2018 with Nick Cruz then it was 6 months between those 2 shooting. Next major one was in May 2018 with the Santa Fe shooting. Next one was Stone Mountain fortunate no one was killed 10 injured. April 2019 2020 due to the pandemic nothing. It began again in 2022 with Uvaldi. Now you had that women who thought she was a man who wanted death by cop March 27th.

Notice the how the frequency went up as the use of social media went up. There are just as many gun in circulation as there was in the 1920s in the 1920s, they were a lot more deadly weapons I could give a Tommy gun which is fully automatic guns they’re using mostly in the big shootings are A. R. 15, which is a lot less deadly weapon. It’s semi automatic a lower caliber.223 and a lot less bullets. Sure there was gang war fair especially thanks to Al Capone but no school shooting. The 1 thing that majorly change was social media when it comes to guns and shootings

This is so sad. I don't have an answer but I teach kindergarten and we have to practice intruder drills 3x a year.

It breaks my heart seeing how scared they are during the drills. Now of course, I try and soften it as much as I can but still they shouldn't have to think about this.

We talk about safe options for getting away or hiding and I never feel good telling them that if something should happen to me, they still need to run/escape - if they can, otherwise hide. They don't like to hear this but they need to know to go.

What happened today is sad, but shootings happen every single day, many of them being in poor cities with underdeveloped communities with poor leadership and corrupt politicians (both democrat and republican) which gangs target and manipulate people in those areas, yet no one reports on it.. NO giant media corp reports on it, yet we all know it happens daily, and unfortunately innocent people are involved in crossfires. Guns are American culture, if you claim gun control there will likely be a revolution by the people, if you even do anything that disrupts the 2nd amendment against law abiding citizens, it won't happen, no one will let it happen. Mental health programs could help, but the federal gov isn't going to fork that out... they need more "nukes" and military assets.

It would be major help if the fucken IDIOTS in Washington would use all the GUN LAWS that are on the books and have been on the books for decades. Stop this no bail bullshit and lock up people that use guns, instead of bringing them in the front door and out the backdoor before the cop finishes the paper work with the woke no bail. Most crooks use nonlegal black market guns, ghost guns but the legal owners are lumped in with everyone. If I want a gun and don't want it in my name I go to the black market and can buy anything from a pistole to real AK47 and rocket launchers. You can put all sort of no help laws on the books but the crooks will be the only one with gun. Commit a crime with a gun legal or otherwise 5year prison time for the gun crime plus time for the crime no parole. No bargaining. Build more prisons to keep the crooks and politicians.

The regulations would be shut down social media or treat it like we do alcohol and tobacco and make sure people are 21 before they are allowed to use to and make sure kids aren’t using there parent I. D to get on. There not much more guns is society than there was in the 1980s or 1990s. There was 1 shooting in 1982 non in the until the end of the 90s non until Virginia tech it wasn’t until the social media age which really started around 2015 there was a major uptick in school shooting when social media became majorly popular all of a sudden we got this massive spike in school shooting and other mass shooting, there 1 thing that changed and that’s the advent of social media. Not only have we seen an uptick in mass shoot but we also have seen a massive uptick of suicide, especially with young girls. If guns were the issue why didn’t this occur more often prior to social media? The logical answer is it’s not guns in social media. It’s Facebook is Twitter it’s Instagram and Snapchat. It’s tick-tock. This is what is causing mass shootings and mass suicide.
