oh shush... she's so happy right now probably can't get off the toilet. The sheer joy of taking down "the great white whale" gives her such joy and elation it's hard to measure. the fact that he's guilty til proven innocent is a slight oversight from the freudian slip from her sub conscious mind.
She knows the answer, it just doesn't apply to someone she hates with a passion... all because he doesn't believe in global warming.

There’s a lot of people that do that. If they want to think someone is guilty they will say it even if they haven’t been proven guilty yet. Our politicians are a joke sad and troubling at this point. Katie Hobbs press secretary tweeted that transphobes need to be gunned down. No! No one needs to be gunned down. We don’t need anymore people gunned down.

Not sure the problem.
That is literally what a trial is.
The prosecutor tries to prove guilt.
The defense/defendant tries to prove innocence.
So yes if going to trial trump and his law team will try to prove his innocence.
They are not gonna go. Prove my guilt, and sit there twiddling their thumbs

  I think the issue is a lot of these politicians, and regular people for that matter, assume guilt before it's been proved, it's where the term "guilty until proved innocent" comes from, when legally, regardless of who the person is innocent until proved guilty.

  But what she said was in a way accurate.
  Just not the wording that is in the constitution.
  But we all get what she meant by it.
  They just don't like her and wanted to embarrass her.
  She is right.
  He is not above the law.
  He has the right to defend himself, by proving his innocence.
  But at the end of the day, the government has more responsibility to prove his guilt without a doubt.
  But i promise you if he sits there and does not do anything to prove his innocence he going to jail.

  Her saying that doesn't mean she is claiming he is guilty.
  She saying he will have the chance to prove his innocence.
  She is saying they aren't gonna go. You been indicated straight to jail with you.
  She is saying he will have a trial that he can clear his name, just like everyone else.
  She wasn't quoting the innocent until proven guilty.
  She was stating a fact. He will get the chance to prove to everyone he didn't do anything, if he is really innocent.

  @msputiton the defense attorney will try to punch holes in the testimony, correct. That's not the same as having to prove innocence. It's a very important distinction. Bottom line is Pelosi is such an idiot she doesn't understand how our justice system works. And she's the last one to be talking about following the law.

  She said he has the right to prove his innocence.
  There is a difference from going trump has to be the one to prove his innocence, and saying is has the opportunity and right to.
  It is always the prosecution who has to prove guilty to be found guilty but the defense does have a responsibility to prove the evidence is wrong, or fake, or misleading, which is to prove innocence.

  Yes i know we use not guilty because you have to prove enough that they can't prove your guilt.
  But to do that you have to argue abd try your best to prove your innocent based of the evidence that is used to prove you are guilty
  So yes you are trying to prove your innocence.
  So yes he will go in to court and try to prove he is innocent be proving the evidence that proves his guilt is not accurate
  No matter how you swing this he will go to court to try and prove his innocence.
  Which is all she is saying.

  @msputiton they absolutely don't have to prove their innocence. They have to show the prosecution cannot prove their guilt. It's a big distinction. If you're presumed guilty and have to prove your innocence then you aren't a free person.

  Once so we are clear. He does not have to prove his innocence, but he will go and try to prove his innocence.
  
  The way this works is. Someone accuses you of a crime. They then look at the evidence.
  They're is enough evidence that proves he might be guilty. So they go to trial.
  Show me one case where the goes. I'm totally guilty, but you can't prove it.

  This question is about Nancy Pelosi’s released statement, and that statement was wrong in saying that “everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence” because INNOCENT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE PROVED IN A TRIAL, instead, guilt must be proved by the prosecution; that’s the very basis of the US Justice system.

  I'm not sure at this point what your arguing. We both have a million times agreed he doesn't have to. But he has the opportunity to prove his innocence.
  This is all she said nothing else. If she said he is guilty until he proves than she is wrong. But she didn't. She said he has an opportunity to prove his innocence.
  A person's right is not a person's obligation. It is just that. We are giving a chance to prove to everyone he is innocent. She didn't if he doesn't, he is going to jail. She said it's his right to prove his innocence. Meaning if he want to prove to the world he is innocent, we wiil allow it.
  The opportunity to prove innocence.
  So why are you still trying to prove that he doesn't have to prove his innocence.
  He is going to go into court, and try to prove he is innocent.
  Why?

  She is correct the law says when accused of a crime, they investigate. If they feel there is enough evidence to go to trial it does. He feels that they should not investigate or take it to trial, because he doesn't want it to go to trial. (Above the law comment) this is how the law works.
  Right to prove his innocence is exactly what he has. So nothing she said is wrong.
  Everyone laughing at her, is wrong.
  According to you She even agreed and restated that it is the prosecution' s job to prove guilt.

Pelosi is getting senile too, but I guess people are getting carried away because we know he's guilty, just like we all know O. J. was guilty. LOL The burden will be on the State of NY to show that he and/or his associates, employees, etc., committed crimes while acting on his behalf, or behest. That part should be a slam dunk, especially if there's really 30+ counts of criminal acts, but we'll see.
His attorney's will seek to settle out of court. They'll NEVER put him on the stand if it goes to trial because he will do nothing but plead the 5th. Funny to see this post, since the Republicans running the committees in Congress these days make the exact assumption about anyone isn't on their side -- whatever it is, you're guilty of something, especially if you're a Democrat. LOL It's the pot calling the kettle black.
