I would make residential street parking either limited to one side or not at all, or only allow it if the street was extra wide to accommodate for moving traffic. I think it’s a hazard when there are two vehicles coming from opposite sides so one has no choice but to pull over to let the other side pass.

I would give people more time to cross the road. The light would change less often but would last longer each time it changed colour. I would also do regular inspections or have a hotline for reporting broken lights published online. They have one but its not widely known. I would also have a special passcode seniors can press to quadruple the time they will be given to cross the road, and it would be given to disabled people too. I would allow volunteer translators to serve people who cannot speak English in public things like drivers tests cause I know a very very smart guy that failed ten times cause of his broken English.

I would remove seatbelt laws (it's urban darwinism, play rocketing bc you didn't wear a seat belt, that's natural selection), require more difficult test to drive a car. Require an additional test to drive anything on a pickup chassis. Require an additional test to drive a 3/4 ton or larger truck... this would eliminate a lot of bad drivers and people who drive tanks for their ego or safety at the expense of the safety of others. Drop the age for a 500cc or smaller motorcycle to 13, same requirements as current. Raise the age to drive anything with 4 wheels to 18... this would make for more observant drivers, less congestion, and will save men with small penises a lot of money.

If you can't maintain the speed limit or above, your license is revoked
If you drive in less than sunny weather with your 4 ways on, your license is revoked
If you don't follow through with your intended movement; for example, you initiate a left hand turn and cancel to go straight at the last second...1000.00 fine
lane jockeying...1000.00 fine
failure to drive in the right hand lane, 2000.00 fine
speed limits abolished; system become graduated. If you wand to drive 150km/h, you need to demonstrate that you are able. You are not allowed on high speed roadways until you reach the minimum level

You and my wife would get along well.

She calls them, "Dirty Street Parkers", pointing out empty driveways that could have been utilized for parking, as we navigate the street-parked cars and oncoming traffic in making our way through subdivisions.

At the moment, I can't think of any new laws that are needed.

Enforcement of, and accountability to, the existing laws would be much more than sufficient in making the road a better place.

I won't hold my breath waiting for that to happen.

I'd be happy if people actually followed the traffic laws that already exist.

The amount of drivers that need to go back to driver's ed is staggering. If we had to take a new driver's test every time we had to renew our licenses, there would be a lot fewer vehicles on the road.

I like your idea. I went to wedding in Fresno and the street where my friend's friend lived allowed parking on both sides but barely enough room for one, let alone two, vehicles get through.

I would also make bicyclists have to pass a test to ride on major streets. Most do not seem to understand that the rules apply to them, nor that in California unless otherwise specified if they are going straight then are supposed to be to the left of the right hand turn lanes.

Limit the size of new vehicles to something that fits on the road. In the last decades cars became so big, they barely fit into parking spaces, are wider than a public transport bus and so on.

Make the driving test harder to pass. Too many horrible drivers who cause havoc on the roads and cause crashes

Make it so if you have a private road, a cop can't go on it, period, without an invitation from the owner.

Yes. I'd make failure to use turn signals when turning or changing lanes punishable by death (after 3 offenses because I am still merciful).
