The perception of whether a country is overrated or not is subjective and can vary depending on individual perspectives and criteria for evaluation. While the United States is often considered a global superpower and has significant influence in various domains such as politics, economy, and culture, opinions about its merits and drawbacks differ widely.
On one hand, the United States has achieved remarkable accomplishments throughout its history. It has been a hub for technological innovation, scientific advancements, and higher education. The country has also been a melting pot of cultures, attracting immigrants from around the world and fostering a diverse society. Additionally, the U. S. has played a crucial role in global affairs, acting as a major contributor to international development and humanitarian efforts.
On the other hand, critics argue that the United States has certain shortcomings and areas where improvement is needed. Some of the concerns raised include issues like income inequality, racial disparities, healthcare accessibility, gun violence, and the influence of money in politics. Furthermore, certain aspects of American culture and foreign policies have been controversial and have drawn criticism from various quarters.
It's important to note that assessments of a country can be complex and multifaceted. While some individuals may consider the United States overrated, others may highly value its contributions and impact on the world stage. Ultimately, opinions about any country, including the United States, can be influenced by personal experiences, cultural backgrounds, and individual perspectives.
In history? Compared to who? Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Belgium, Russia, China, fucking England, Australia or Canada?
What other country has a Bill of Rights and a concept of self-evident, unalienable human rights?
What country has accomplished more during the post industrial era?
Granted, the Zionist global bankers began taking over the U. S. and sucking it dry over a century ago. And they are doing their best to destroy it completely, just as they are every other country, so that they can establish their totalitarian One World Government.
But I don't think the U. S. is done yet. The first thing we need to do is hang some traitors.

The liberal world order that was created and maintained by the United States that has led the world since the end of the Cold War is the closest the world has ever gotten to world peace and is one of the greatest achievements in human history. All the other countries in the West could lose everything they have at a moments notice if the US wasn’t around to play hall monitor.
Just because the US is now decaying and dying doesn’t negate its previous accomplishments. When it does fall, large portions of its territories will still be significant world powers.
There is not a single country in the history of the world that has accomplished as much as the United States. We have developed inventions that have changed the world. The light bulb, the telephone , the automobile and many others. The United States fought in two world wars , built the interstate highway system, developed atomic energy and sent men to the moon and brought them back.
Yes , we are in a slump now but I think that America;s best days are still ahead.
Which is why half the planet is RUSHING to get here now that the gates are wide open!!
Absolutely, and I am American. The best thing I ever did was to move from there.
As much as I appreciate America's 2nd Amendment rights, everything here has gotten more ridiculously expensive than ever now, and the government in the US has become more increasingly tyrannical and intrusive of personal privacy.
Outside of media and tv, internet, whatever.. The United States has a plethora of overlooked landscapes and underappreciated people.
Rates, overrated, underrated, by who? If you don't line the U. S. than don't fucking come here.
Only slightly disagree. The way it is now it hardly qualifies as the "land of the free" anymore.
America is a shithole and the people are idiots.
The UK sucks shit.
