1. Many republicans (i. e., establishment Repubs, who aren't much better than most Dems) DO support arming the Ukraine.
2. Trump, DeSantis, and a number of other America-first Republicans believe that getting involved in foreign wars should be avoided as much as possible, and should only be done as the very last resort. They don't support Russia's invasion, but they also believe that Europe needs to step up and take care of their own.
3. Russia is performing very, very badly in a military sense, and while you might think that's good, you're missing a key issue: Putin will absolutely use nukes before he will allow his military to be humiliated in defeat. The worse things get for him in a conventional war, the more likely he is to go nuclear. That is not an empty threat - it's a VERY REAL and increasingly likely possibility. He will not be able to maintain power if he loses, and he would rather blow up the planet than lose power.
4. Trump got 6 huge peace treaties signed under his presidency, including a huge middle-eastern deal. These were thought to be impossible. Of course, the news barely mentioned them, and they were gone from the news cycle after a single day. Trump understands that avoiding war is much better than engaging in one if it can be avoided. Note that Putin did NOT invade under Trump's watch, because Trump made it clear that Putin would be a personal target if he did so. He knows damn well Biden will take his bribes and leave Putin alone, which is why he waited until Biden took office to invade.
They aren't. They are against Ukraine getting the discount on military aid it is getting. Mainly as it means American gun dealers (who 95% are backers of republicans) getting less money for their contracts.
Trump and his cohorts are fucking grifters and cowards who would rather steal indirectly, than directly. They know direct wars aren't always easy to control and maintain. Hence they would rather go for trade wars and sanctions to steal from states that way instead.
Russia is doing very well against the "best" the West has to offer - it's still there, after all and hasn't had to resort to nukes. It was America (not Russia) which made the "will win in three weeks" claim at the start.
Trump fucked up the Middle East even more and nearly everything he put his hand on turned to shit. From NATO to world trade, he left nothing alone and fucked up everything like an American cowboy.
Because they aren't in power. For top 20 US clans is war in Ukraine good business opportunity. Political parties are just exchangeable puppets for them. If the situation was another way around and reps. were in power, they would support money spending to Ukraine and dems. would oppose it as good opposition goys. It's just a sock puppet theater for the pleb
You should really be questioning US involvement in the instigation of the Ukraine conflict and review who benefits from this continued meat grinder in Ukraine.
Look at Syria and Libya. The democrats trained, armed and funded the group that would become ISIS. Hillary wanted to invade Syria.

Well, "WE" don't spend 82B on Virginia. That's the virginia budget, which largely comes from virginia revenue. Since I don't live in virginia none of my tax dollars go to that (oversimplified, yes, but you know...) Many republicans were against arming Syrian rebels as well. For those, it's just a matter of "not our fight, not our dollars"
Why should we be sending billions of dollars over seas when we need to money to pay our own debt. billions of dollars of Russia attacked us. Why should we send billions of dollars to save Ukraine. If the country cannot defend itself from another country, that country doesn’t have the right to continue to exist.
Republican (speaking of the voters in general, not GOP leadership) support for military adventurism has been declining gradually ever since 2010. The Republican base is increasingly anti-elite, increasingly realizing they gain nothing from these wars, and are increasingly skeptical of US propaganda.
Right-wingers like Megyn Kelly and Elon Musk who clearly favor Vladimir Putin, should just defect with the absolute disgraced Tara Reade.
They like putin and don't like spending money on things that actually benefit human wellbeing
Seems to me to make more sense to spend money on our myriad huge problems at home.
Because they can't agree with Biden on anything. Also they like Putin because he runs the kind of authoritarian regime they aspire to.
Cleaning up Europe's messes due to entangling alliances surely doesn't lead to any global wars or anything!
