Why do some people feel that if white people don't have a straight white pride month then gay people and black people can't have a pride month?

Its always the same argument from the in considerate and the closet racist and homophobes. Why can't we say white pride or have a straight parade just because minorities demand to be visible.

Cishet white people are just bad at adapting. They grew up only being shown people who looked, acted, and loved like they do - Puritan, Christian-centric colonial ideals.

When the rest of the world exists, for some reason these straight white people view it as a zero sum game: if *those people* exist, it's less room for *our people*!

In reality, different races and cultures helped build their countries, and have done more for their communities than white people have, for generations.

Cishet whites are the ultimates in demanding participation trophies and equal attention shit. The true snowflakes.

You can but I just think there is no need for privileged cultures to try and celebrate more privilege. Pride is celebrated for genuine reasons. There were times when people were killed or imprisoned for being gay so people celebrate pride events to celebrate how far they’ve come. They are partying in the face of those who are homophobic and those who think it’s wrong so they can create inclusiveness. The same for celebrating races for example Black Lives Matter. It’s to try and get rid of prejudices and celebrate who they are. White people are privileged in the sense that they rarely face racism and setbacks if that makes sense

For the sake of equality and inclusiveness. If the others can, then nothing should stop people from having a straight prider or white pride. Thats what it means to be equal.

As for my color, I don't care to celebrate it. I think of celebrating 'whiteness' and all I hear is "white power" and we all know how that ends
