Maybe. There's a lot of stupid people on there, I know that! I started an account last month to talk about my novels and give writing advice, and I never saw so many idiots do nothing. Staring at the camera, lip-syncing to songs. I don't get how people find this entertaining.

The way I see it, if these people can get thousands of followers doing nothing, I can surely get a couple hundred doing something! They probably are spying on people because it seems like a useless app for useless people!

Google and Facebook have been caught redhanded spying on people and manipulating people based on their personal data. The only difference is that Google and Facebook are American while TikTok is China. And the Jan 6th insurrection was incited by Twitter not TikTok, so we can't say American social media isn't a threat to our democracy. It's pure hypocrisy to ban TikTok while at the same time using American companies we know for a fact are spying on people and manipulating people.
