Is euthanasia for humans legal everywhere?

I just saw a Facebook reel titled “Americans for prolife” and it was a lady talking about how Americans, devalue human life by advocating euthanasia. She was saying how it’s not healthcare. I am a veterinary technician, so I technically work in healthcare. Why is euthanasia perfectly fine for terminally ill, in pain, animal patients, but not for humans? It makes no sense! If someone is in pain, and terminally ill, they should be allowed to have that choice to peacefully pass away.

Euthanasia is legal where I live. But there was a lot of controversy around it and it took a long time before it was approved. The politicians who were against euthanasia also said that it was about devaluing human life. They said it was against Catholic values since it's a mostly Catholic country.
However, that's not how I see it. If a person is seriously ill and in pain, who am I to force them to live in pain? If there's no cure and if they're in peace with the thought of dying, do I have the right to stop them? To make them suffer even more? No, I don't.
So I believe that euthanasia should be legal for humans everywhere. Forcing a human being to live in pain, it's not an act of love, it's cruelty.

Something is only illegal if it can be enforced. Just because a law is written down doesn't mean it is really illegal. It's technically illegal to click "save as" for a picture on the Internet without the consent of the person who posted the pic. Euthanasia is technically illegal in many areas but people have ways of ending their lives or assisting someone without getting caught.

firstly we humans need to protect our own as priority over animals. about euthanasia of humans only allowed if someone will die soon anyway, and only in a few places. but killing dogs is viewed as killing cows, no problem.

because people even with chroinc pain still want to live. so outsiders can't euthanasia them, and therefore even if they ask we can't murder them.

Anyone advocating for this should lead by example and have themselves euthanized first. It would solve this particular issue pretty fast.

I don't understand how twisted you have to be to think that it's ok to let people end their lives.

So even if you were bedridden, had cancer or some sort of illness, and you were in constant pain needing medication and a caretaker, you would rather suffer?… weird flex but ok!

If doctors run out of ways to save you often times you transition into end of life care. Meaning they will do what needs to be done to make your last days as painless as possible but no one lives like that for ages. Once you're at that stage it's a short walk to heaven's door

Replying to anonymous. People make bad choices in war. I help them end their life. They'd just as easily/happily ended mine, but I'm better at it. Which one of us is twisted?

I've never been to war and can't speak to how twisted you have to be in one.

But surly you're not equating killing an enemy that is trying to kill you in open combat to ending the lives of people as a form of mercy in a hospital.

It's two different reasons to wanting to take a life

What if someone has a stroke, STEMI heart attack, end up with terminal cancer etc within a few weeks time, would you want them to suffer until they naturally die?
