How many smart kids are held back by the dummies? Standardized tests are made to the lowest common denominator.

Let the non educated be today’s slaves.

We need better education that isn't funded by local property tax. Poor neighborhoods with poor housing dollor value then get poor education and rise in criminal activity to stay alive. GO Fucking figure. So the over inflated property tax from few rich folks go to the lowest property area as property tax.
The locally over inflated rich areas is taken away from normal middle household values in the area into standard tax burden in that area and pays for less off parts of our nation and together we are better educated nation.
It is.
There is little education in the world today. Mostly of it is just schooling, and day care.
It's why there is a steady decline in kids doing well, and adults doing any better.
What most people assume is "education" is just pointless cramming of lessons by underpaid teachers and under resources schools. These poor kids are learning little valuable life skills. Just information which they could pick up easier and quicker with Youtube and a Udemy video instead!
Yes agreed. And honestly historical dates and geography are technically pointless. And possibly algebra, unless you choose to learn more math. But teaching critical thinking and a love of learning is a moral necessity, in my opinion. Info, like on Udemy, will always be available.
We aren’t giving kids a reason, or will to learn it.
Absolutely not. Education should be mandatory. Your child needs to be put on a schedule otherwise they are going to grow up with no ability to adapt to adulthood. Do I think school education right now is excessive? Yes, but no we should not do away with school completely.
@mcs545 colleges need to be more hands on and I think the vast majority of learning should be hands on rather than having to submit endless assignments and taking 100 question tests every month in multiple classes. People come out of college barely knowing a thing about their field because the learning is very wordy and not very hands on
@msc545 more labs and more activities that can teach you what you are actually doing in your field. I’m currently in college and everything they teach us is outdated information we need to remember just for the sake of passing a test at the end of each month per semester. So not only are you preparing for this, but all your tests usually end up on the same week because colleges have turned teachings into recycled learning.
Tell that to Seattle. lol
They are closing schools and firing teachers because they are pedophiles. The Internet was invented, and brick and mortar is the past. There is absolutely no reason for children to go to these pedo schools. Would you like me to teach you computer programming in Python?
@msc545 dietetics and formulas for a bunch of different scenarios. It’s all done on computer. It’s to the point where your nurses and doctors even look up procedures on YouTube as a refresher before so. The courses that are taken in school are only the way they are because they drive money into colleges
K-12? No.
College, trade, or vocational? Yes. At that point, they’re an adult and can make their own decisions.

No. You have Dunning Kruger syndrome you not only do not know things, you also don't know what you don't know which frequently leads to arrogance and the belief that you actually know everything.
Education is the solution to this problem and is the only solution if one is possible since without mandatory eucation you will not avail yourself of any new learning since you already believe you know everything. This is going to result in a lot of ignorant adults if children are not educated from an early age.
I don't necessarily think that education is the problem, in and of itself so much as the peripheral issues that young children are now being indoctrinated with by overzealous faculty members and administrators.
Come on dude, no kid would want to go to school when they can just play video games or go out and play soccer or something with their friends.
I know millionaires who can't even read. Education is overrated.
It already is optional.
