Out of all the money the government spends maybe 10% goes to worthwhile projects and programs. The rest is wasted or misspent on stupid stuff. They have a spending problem. The feds need to have to stay within a budget like the rest of us. It is sort of alarming that Rand Paul had to give his collogues a lesson in economics. Obviously most of the senate does not know about how inflation works.

Biden announced the Infrastructure Spending Bill a couple of years ago. He stood in front if a bridge that was condemned. I bet that by the end of his term that bridge will still be condemned.

US unemployment has been under 4% for longer than any time in the last 50 years, inflation is lower than in most other industrialised countries, finance companies are upgrading their expectations for the economy, while downgrading your credit rating entirely because they expect Republicans in the House to play silly buggers and crash the economy.

First of all, a large number of the "jobs created" under Biden are second and third jobs people were forced to take because they were going broke over the inflation he caused. Yes, those are counted as new jobs even though the same person is doing them. Second when you go from a shut down economy in a pandemic to the end of the pandemic those aren't "new" jobs they are the same jobs as people had before. Trump initiated "Operation Warp Speed" and created a vaccine in record time which was ready more than a month before Biden took office and millions of people were already vaccinated the day Biden walked in the door to the White House (including Biden and Harris themselves who were telling people not to take the vaccine because Trump created it while in secret they took it themselves). Trump handed Biden an economy that was growing at 6.3% per year... it was ROARING back. And inflation was only 1.4% when Biden walked in the door. Now the economy is stagnant at a lousy 1.4% growth rate and prices are up over 16% since he took office (and much higher on the necessities like food, housing and energy). And REAL WAGES ARE LOWER under Biden than they were under Trump. Wages grew more than 4% slower than inflation since Biden took office. People have taken a pay cut thanks to the Bidenflation.

Biden was handed a booming economy with virtually no inflation when he took office and he DESTROYED it.

Yes, many of the "jobs created" were becuase Trump oversaw a massive layoff because of the pandemic, but he wasn't averse to claiming low unemployment that was simply a continuation of Obama's adnimistration, was he? Paying for vaccine devlopment (with taxpayer money) was a good thing, not wearing a mask and allowing his supporters to believe the vaccines didn't work wasn't, and probably cost a few hunded thousand lives.

Trump brought back whole industries and developed jobs in the construction and energy sectors. The American steel industry was also making a bid comeback until Biden was elected and undid everything that Trump did. Most jobs that came back in the Biden years are low paying service jobs. People can stay home and collect welfare and make more money than working most of these jobs.

Instead of giving up, what we need to do is take advantage of every law, even the ones we don't like like early voting. Get everyone to vote at the earliest possible date, use mail in ballots and ballot harvesting wherever it is legal. Get the voters OUT TO VOTE not to throw their hands up and give in. Get out the vote! Overwhelm them with the voter turnout. This is what the Democrats do. And so the Republicans must do it too. Throwing up hands won't win it.
