I read a book written by Charlie Chaplain's son. It was pretty interesting. When Charlie Chaplain died some thieves dug up his body and held it for ransom. his family told the bad guys to keep it.

Watching a show with characters in it is different to validating the actual actors. If we did that, we'd never watch anything.
Personally, I never warmed to that show nor his character. But plenty of others did.
