I mean, why isn't Governor Abbott declaring Martial Law and sending the military down to the border? And why aren't the migrants coming in through southern California when it's a sanctuary state?

It's because the Supreme Court has ruled that only the Feds are allowed to enforce Immigration laws. The states are legally helpless to do anything to stop it, especially when the feds are quite literally opening up gates and letting them in by the tens of thousands. And make no mistake, the orders to do that come from Washington DC.
Morale among the Border Patrol is about as low as it can get, and ICE is largely staffed with immigration activists as they literally ran anyone who supports regulated borders out of the job.
But Abbott can declare statewide Martial Law, which would give him full power, and any orders from DC would be mute.
That's not how the law works. Declaring Martial Law would, first of all, cause a MASSIVE disruption of the entire state, and second of all, would STILL not give him jurisdiction over immigrants - at least as far as detaining them or preventing them from entering the state. Again, there have been federal court cases over this, and the laws and Supreme Court decisions are quite clear. Feel free to do your own research, and you'll quickly realize this is true.
Also, the word you are looking for is "moot", which means "irrelevant." "Mute" means "silent" or "unable to speak."
"Martial Law would, first of all, cause a MASSIVE disruption of the entire state"
I guess you haven't been following the crisis, Texas is being INVADED. Not exactly a time to worry about peoples day to day lifestyles being disrupted. Just admit there's a slight chance your precious Republicans could be behind this to destroy the democrats, because you never answered my second question, why aren't they storming the California border?
They aren't storming the California border because there's a lot less of it, and the Cartels have made it far more dangerous here. Plus, the Feds are more willing to hurt Republican states by allowing mass immigration into them, but don't let that happen (at least not nearly to the same degree) to Dem-controlled states (like California). You can bet that Gavin Newsome made a call to DC to ensure that doesn't happen.
There's no getting around the fact that it is Democrats who are allowing this invasion. They control immigration policy for the entire country. They could stop it TODAY if they chose to, but they do the exact opposite: they ENCOURAGE and ENABLE it.
Abbott can't; the Supreme Court explicitly said that state governments can't enforce the existing laws. As to why migrants don't illegally to California:
Nearly half of the 2,000-mile border between the two countries is in (adjacent to?) Texas.
Now, ordinarily, I'd say you're very right to question the side that's complaining the loudest in a political crisis, and you're still correct to do so here, but no, this is very much a Democrat-caused issue; whether it's for the sake of bringing in more people who will vote Democrat, or trying to disrupt red states, it's NOT a good sign.
News flash, they have been and ARE coming through California all the time, and nothing is done about it.
